Ok lets not go into Ray vs Kizaru again, if you support ray then you do if kizaru then kizaru, we won't know for a while and lets leave it at that........

What do you think Kuma will do now....he can't remain a Shichibuki, not after his betrayal to the world government and marines, Kizaru saw the betrayal (there is no way he can pass tha off as anything but, Kizaru knew he was saving the SH's butts), he also said that he would never see Luffy again so I doubt he'll go to Dragon or anything, I think he'll likely go into hiding....

That is one possible move that he'll make. But I guess he'll still participate in this Whitebeard vs. The World Government thing. After all, he is the most obedient Shichibukai and his contributions to this fight will be really essential

Probably he gets replaced by a Pacifista.. nobody will know that the WG can't control their Schichibukai..

We will know once Luffy is off the island..

I was thinking about the Islands the SH's could be..

Zoro --> The Land of Samurai (Where Ryuma was from)
Nami --> No Idea
Usopp --> Sniper Island (It exists xD)
Sanji --> Somewhere on an island where he maybe meets Gin and co.
Chopper --> If he is still in Monster Point, maybe in the place where Oz uses to live.
Robin --> Somewhere on an island where are survivors of Ohara or other people who can read Poneglyphs. (Because if Kuma intends to destroy the WG, one step is to send her to a place were there is Poneglyph or were people who has te knowlegde about it.)
Franky --> Maybe get's to know more about Poseidon? Or he finds things about Pluton.. things that were missing...
Brook --> Voodoo Island xD

Kuma itself is different kind among sichi. While other destroy another pirates for their resource or even just having fun (like Mihawk), he done it on WG order to do so. Indeed his appearence and reason what he did in Shabondy still a mistery, but what he does is what shici intended, get rid other pirate who annoy WG. There's nothing wrong with that with these reason. He get rid the strawhats away from the WG. But I think he ever calculate the possibility of Luffy beating Hancock or did he intend Luffy to do so? We have to wait & see his real intention, just like Kuzan to Robin.

From the first start he knew that the SH are a special Pirate Crew.. he didn't really listen to his missions..

Like on Thriller Bark. He has to eliminate all the SH.. he only gives Zoro serious injuries.

Then we know he has a connection to Dragon. Maybe Dragon was once a pirate, and was the first mate of Kuma? Who will know...

Then he comes in Shabondy and doesn't kill the SH.. no he sends them somewhere else.. to a place were Kizaru can't reach..

What he says.. to Kizaru is that he isn't summoned by the WG and that his intentions are of his own..

Maybe he wanted to help them, maybe he gave them sort of test to the good of Dragon. Maybe he is training them to let them destroy the WG..

Luffy isn't someone who destroys things(only when people stands in his way), but when Robin founds out about the Void Century. They can destroy the WG only by talking. That will be a major disaster 4 the OP world. Because then, the marines are nothing.. the pirates will then roam the seas free.. until Luffy can find One Piece.. whatever that is..

Probably something from the Void Century.

Kuma has his own set of moral standards that he follows. Be it anti-WG or pro-pirates, he definitely moves according to the things he thinks is morally right. I guess he has good reasons for joining Shichibukai.... the same thing for following the World Government's orders. I guess he does this as his obligation and sees the mission as morally appropriate. However, he chooses to disobey the World Government's orders to eliminate the Strawhats because he doesn't see it as morally fitting. This means that he has seen something from these pirates that are worth saving.

I of course we know what he's seen, he's seen the SH's take out two very morally questionable Shichibuki's, and he's seen members of the SH's die to protect their captain's dream of being PK. I'm sure Kuma was impressed, and I get the feeling this is similar to Kuma's relationship with Dragon, maybe some time in the past Kuma was to Dragon as Zoro is to Luffy

I expect Kuma works in close liason with Doctor Vegapunk, and that Doctor Vegapunk works both sides of the war for his own reasons...and by "expect" I mean "predict/hope".

I miss those fence-sitting guys. Where's Smoker when you need some of that fence-sitting?

Yeah it's true we last saw Smoker in like chapter 430 something, saying "I'll see luffy in new world" i bet you he's just sitting in the new world somehwere bored and pissing on some 1 million bounty pirates face LOL

Yeah, Smoker must be doing those things while waiting for Luffy. But I guess he really likes the latter where his interest in capturing him is tantamount to seeing/testing how far Luffy has gone. His "smile" back at Lougetown is the beginning of Smoker's interest andcuriosity in Luffy because he resembles the Pirate King.

I hope that Luffy never beats Smoker, no matter what he always ends up having to run away, I think Oda has created the potential for a really great character relationship between the two.....For once I would love to read a manga where the protagonist doesn't over come all his enemies (i love the unpredictability of OP, you know you have an incredible manga when you can come back week after week make hypothesis after hypothesis and still always be surprised) and I hope OP continues their relationship and rather than it ending with Luffy beating Smoker, rather smoker smiles turns away and says something like "I'll beat you when your the king" if that happens I would die a happy man ahahaha

Hey Andonan, you pretty much explained almost everything I think about Smoker and One Piece ^__^. It will really be a good showmanship of a unique relationship if Luffy stays that way to Smoker.... always running away when he meets him and Smoker always making a vow to beat him and capture him. I also love to see a protagonist lose to some of his opponents (sych as Luffy vs. Ao Kiji, Gon vs. Knuckle, Sanosuke vs. Saito) and never gets a real closure to their fight (like Kenshin and Saito) because it triggers your imagination with ideas that start with phrases like "what could have been" or "what if." One Piece has it. And every chapter is filled with juicy events that keep you exercise your mental muscles, speculate, and formulate creative ideas. Another great thing about it is that you always find yourself surprised - even if you speculate things right, you still find yourself surprised.

It seems that Luffy hasn't polished his Gears to its fullest. Besides, its effect can really be a larger trouble than the power it can wield. With tougher opponents, Gears 2 and 3 might even prove futile, especially that they're about to enter the New World. I remember him using Gear 2 against Kuma, and the latter just shrugs him off like a bug

With what Kuma said at the Thriller Bark, it seemed that he personally knew Dragon. This is why many fans, including myself speculate that they have some bond back then, maybe former nakama in a certain group

It could just be that they've fought before. Seeing as Kuma's a Shichibukai, and the obedient one to boot, it makes sense that the World Government would have sent him after Dragon a few times. There probably is more to it (I believe I theorized that Kuma had some sort of debt he owed Dragon back after chapter 513) but I think to say that they were ever allied is presumptuous. Kuma's been either a ferocious pirate, or the World Government's lapdog of a Shichibukai. That doesn't leave much room for him to have ever been involved in a Resistance that seems to have only started about 6 or 7 years ago, and before that, it seems to have been implied that Dragon was off doing his own thing, certainly nothing that would warrant the inclusion of a pirate or a Shichibukai in the group. It is possible for Kuma to know Dragon just by fighting him, and all his statement showed was that he knew Dragon. Most of the high-ranking Marines and the Shichibukai probably do, although most don't know that he's Luffy's father and Garp's son.

Yeah but Kuma was commenting on Luffy's comrades before mentioning Dragon, that is the main reason many of us implied that they could have been former comrades, because Dragon had a similar knack for choosing strong friends like Luffy, and considering Kuma is pretty fucking strong, well you et my drift.......

Have we ever wondered is perhaps Dadan or davdan or whatever that guy mentioned in luffy's hometown is perhaps Kuma? I have no clue why, their names aren't even similar or close, but maybe it's his middle name (which would mean that Kuma has the Will of D) I dunno just throwing it out there...

So I reread the very first Chapter of OP for old time sake, and we've always known he wanted 10 men for his crew, now considering we now have 8 (9 if you include Luffy, but the manga was always a bit obscure whether he meant himself included, I personally think not....) So I was thinking about other positions to be filled and consulted my parents (i know odd but they actually had 2 good ideas) which was a armorer/weapons smith and a deck hand (making 10) now if we consider Margaret as a possible new crewmate she could fill the role of weapons smith, because of her ability to imbue haki into weapons, it could make a lot of sense....and I always use to think that Cobey would make a return leave the marines (i thought he was only using them to find luffy) and then join his crew, but considering he's now luffy's rival i doubt that will happen, so maybe a new apprentice will come along and be a deckhand, maybe Luffy will take pity on the kid because he'll see himself in the kid and want to bring him along because Shanks (at first) rejected him....i dunno just a couple of ideas that came to me
