yo guys me and my brother were talking about that. why do you think whitebeards crew is so young? well i say young cause the 3 top commandants looks pretty young althoug we didnt really see the rest of the crew.

Well:
Marco: Didn't look that young to me. I'd easily put him 40-ish.
Ace: Young, but a prodigy in a way.
Jozu: Looks just as old as Marco. Anywhere between low 30s to high 40s is believable.
Thatch: Also looked like late twenties early thirties

Remember, it's manga so it's often hard to distinguish ages from appearances alone. I'm still scratching my head trying to figure out Shakkie's age.

That said, of course Whitebeard's crew is both old and young. It couldn't just be a bunch of old guys since that would assume all of them are strong enough to live as a pirate for that long. Whitebeard's crew would often attract new members and I doubt age is of object.

no but i mean look at rogers crew! the 2 guys we kno is raleigh and the doctor from twin cape. and those guys arent very young. and in my opinion whitebeard isnt that young himself. i dont kno how old he is but if he told shanks that hes 100 years too young to tell him what to do. so that means hes been pirate for a long time. and if hes a half giant he probably is fkin old. like if normal giants lives til 300 years old, well im pretty sure half giants live really long but not as long as the giants of course. ya i kno that marco and joz are in the 40s but i mean where are all the original crew when roger was there. i mean like im pretty it wasnt people as young shanks and buggy when they were in the crew. anyway wat im trying to say is if roger had guys like raleigh back then, well why wouldnt whitebeard have the same guys. maybe they all retired or their just all dead.

Maybe it's as you say and Whitebeard has been alive for a really long time. If that's the case, then his original set of crew could be long dead and what exists today is the second generation of his crew.

Maybe some didnt die but retired.. maybe some are in the 16 different batallions.. he has 1600 men.. bet some are old...His crew is huge.. my guess is Roger's was more like Luffys.. Maybe Roger had 50 or so.. but they were stronger.. who knows.

You know what's the funny part?
I think Teach was part of WB's original crew.
Why you ask me?
Teach is 40 and Shanks mentioned that he declined(several times?) WB's proposition to become a Division Captain.
At last but not least, I am assuming that Shanks got his scars before the Jolly Roger Pirates scatered:

• 
  His left eye wasn't showed in his flashback at the execution of Roger(not in the manga or the anime).

• 
  His Jolly Roger got the scars, what makes me think that he got them before becoming a Captain.

Do you reckon Ruffy will learn how to fight using his haki while in the Gaol?
I can't wait to see him using it. It wouldn't be so difficult to learn, since all the women in the women island were using it...

"He didn't take the position of captain, nor did he become renown" only mean that Teach had the popential (and obvious since he killed another commander).

You can only take a position of Division Commander if WB is offering it to you.
I doubt the other Commanders obligated WB to give them such position.

shanks is just trying to say that he was hiding in his crew. and i doubt that he wouldve offered him an commandand position when he has no bounty.

I don't like posting in old Discussion/Prediction threads, but since this was a post from today, I'll make a bit of an exception.

Luffy wasn't referring to having seen Hancock's back before, he was referring to having seen her brand before. He mistook it for Hatchan's sun symbol, although in fact Hatchan's sun symbol was an altered form of Hancock's "Hoof of the Soaring Dragon" brand.

EDIT: Actually, now that I think about it, these posts don't really flow from the previous discussion anyway, and they're in a now defunct thread. I'm moving these to the Mega Convo.

Yes, Kuma sent him flying for three days, then he was at amazon Lily for about a day and a half. After that, the trip to Impel Down took four and a half days so since the crew was seperated, it's been approximately nine days if I'm not mistaken.

Sentomaru said that the victims of Kuma would fly for 3 days and night, but if I'm not mistaken, Luffy flow only for a day and night.

i reread the begining of the impel down arc and in ch 525 page 12 i noticed that the axes of the bul gori are numbered so does that mean that's how many there are.
