Re: One Piece Mega Convo (Spoilers!)

After some weeks hanging around, i decided to take part in the conversations and to start with One Piece which keeps surprising me every week
I think it was a pretty good choice to focus on Luffy for the time being. After all, he's the main character, bound to become the Pirate king in the end and it's better to follow him now and see how he gets prepared for the New world cause as he was in the Shabondy islands, unfortunately he was obviously useless against the top brass of the Marines.
Now His will to survive developed in ID, and probby his haki too. He will come out of ID a new man, much more badass than ever which is a real necessity ! In each arc, he's supposed to be the one to save all the crew by kicking the badguy's ass but recently he proved he wasn't on an equal footing with the New world dudes. I think there was no other way round for Oda to get Luffy prepared other than having him undergo a personal adventure. In Enies Lobby he developed his gears while still with the others but, strong as the CP9 was, it was nothing compared to the New world and the gears were enough.
But now, Luffy needs to be part of another league and it just couldn't happen with only regular adventures with the crew. So now i'm pretty happy with the way it goes.
YET i miss the crew so much !!!!! Part of what makes OP so great, apart from the imagination of Oda ^^ is the fun you get from witnessing the life of the crew, the friendship, the jokes, their shortcomings and eccentricity ^^ I must admit i miss it a lot and i wish we meet the crew soon... But Oda said the ID arc would last a full year worth of time and i guess we'll just have to be patient...
At least the humour is still going on wild in this arc, so it's fine, but god i miss the crew !
Nevertheless, i guess they'll be incredibly stronger/wiser when they meet again after their little adventures. And it's quite necessary for what's awaiting them.
It was mentionned in this thread that Kuma probby chose a few islands in relation with the revolutionaries. I think too that it's likely even though we can't be sure. But, it's clear that Luffy being the son of Dragon is a highly confidential piece of information. Nobody knows except Garp. Even Ivankov who is close to Dragon was shocked when he learnt. And yet, Kuma knows and saved the crew... He's probby close to Dragon too and some islands where he sent the SH must be safe for them to some extent, because of the revolution.
Pretty close there, but i think Kuma wanted to teach something to anyone of the Sh's.
I dont think Sanji would have wanted to see G%y Island, rather than that Kuma fed him up with his own lovesick medicine. It may change Sanji's attitude towards women forever ! ( i hope not

It's easy to guess Kuma intentions for the other Crewmembers, cept for Zorro. He just might have a crush on Perona
or he simply asked for some better sword, we just don't realy know the intention yet.
Well, as to Zoro I thought about it too, and the only thing Zoro has wanted since he was defeated by Kuma is to get stronger. Physically wise, he's top. But regarding his mental, he was easily defeated by Perona and her ghosts, like everyone else btw, except for Usopp
But anyway i think he needs to win against Perona to get free cause he's bound for the time being, and without his katanas. He needs to overcome the ghosts...
He might even develop some Haki. Why not ? After all, Rayleigh was the second, just like Zoro is, and can use haki perfectly well. It's not meant only for the captain. The marine guy with the axe probby had haki too and the gorgon sisters could use it too. Even in the sky islands, the mantra to predict the movements was probby some haki too. I guess Zoro should be using it in the end. When he fought against Kaku, Kaku said that he was frightening because of the aura that emanated from him. It may be a first step. And if he builds up his mental against Perona, who knows what might happen.
Anyway, we'll only know in a few months what will really happen >.<
But master Oda will surprise us as usual and i couldn't be more delighted
