i'm pretty sure shanks wont have devil fruits at least he did not have when he saved luffy
and i do think it's policy in shanks ship not to eat DF i think they understands the meaning of strong spirit over abalitys / stuff like that and maybe DF
do not boost the strenght of already overwhelmingly strong like when marco kicks kizaru they are in their normal bodies in the time of impact so to shanks it might not make any difference does the opponent have DF or not because the battle is decided of their personal strenght not the DF in that level (only in battles with low level of strenght DF counts <- and the ones with none haki = low level of power)
just a thought when i rewatched the episode where luffy eats shanks gomu gomu fruit
it was not in that version but i think i saw in manga someone mention "DONT YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MUCH WE COULD HAVE SOLD THAT!" or something referring that they would selll the fruit not eat it
maybe if DF wont strenghten you anymore you could sell em to weaker ppl who wants em and get their money and do some good partying with the money or something kind of a attitude good parties more important than shitty DF powers that actually wont pwoer up anyone truly strong
and when the DF wont strenghten you anymore then it's only a minus begin a hammer without the bonus
and i really hope there isnt some lame fruits like HAKI HAKI no fruit or something like that
im really optimistic that none in shanks crew have DF powers maybe if they have eaten one before they join or something (marco has one and shanks offered him to join a "real crew" <- im pretty positive that each one of shanks crewmates are insanely strong, maybe one of the rules for joining is to withstand shanks full haki ? or maybe shanks just picks anyone he likes as a person not caring about strenght, dunno really, but i think he liked luffy and still didnt take him along even luffy asked because it's too dangerous so not just anyone could withstand their travels and having only one weak guy slows the whole crew a lot because they have to be always thinking about protecting him/her not getting a chance to fight full head on... yeah... everyone in strong crew must be so strong that no one needs protection or else the battle formation is screwed even a million weak guys [at least in one piece where lever of power varies lots of more than in the "real world"] cant comprehend to one strong when fighting in team / with ur nakamas ... u dont want any losses and every loss hurts)
and im thinking that in shanks crew those yasopp that long haired guy that fat guy etc are at least as strong as commanders in WB (and / or maybe every single one of red hair pirates are equals to WB commanders?)
dunno really is shanks red hair pirates stronger than the white beard pirates at least it is proven that shanks can hold KAIDOU off and at least are equal or stronger than kaidou
whitebeard might be the strongest man around but is his crew stronger than shanks crew ? could red hair pirates be even more powerfull than whitebeard pirates in overall strenght ?
ppl boasting about their fruits and making a fuss over them are just a weak sorry excuses of a fighters that cant rely on their own strenght (even luffy was upset when he ate the fruit)
kinda like some street punk relying on his 9mm and still gets his ass kicked
