Since the beginning, One Piece looks like a mythological story and thus it will likely continue to follow the same kind of development. There are two ends to a mythological story and the first looks like the good one for Luffy and the second for Roger. After the quest got achieved (One Piece => PK), the hero will come back to the normal word (out of the NW-GL => four seas) to make it take advantage of the result of his quest (true freedom). Or, after the quest got achieved (? => PK), the hero has to flee (from Portgas D. Rouge/Ace, from his crew, from life) because he angered the world (marines, illness, public execution (+ Squardo)).

Just to say this chapter continues to confirm that regarding to Roger. We have shown marines, pirates and civils hating Roger.
NB : the ? in " ? => PK " is actually conquering the GL.

Dragon is one of my fav. characters in all of OP! I hope that he won't let his son die, but he must have other things do to especially now that all the elite of the Marines are busy at Marineford. Unless Luffy is about to die I expect he won't show up.

But I'd love to see him warn Sengoku about messing with his son, about messing with destiny....

Sorry to give up on the alacritous cogitation and the funny things but I just discovered that will be no WSJ at all next week... I suddenly want to cry... I guess everyone already know that though so I would like to hear a "yes, it's true" just to give up on any false hope ... The only thing I can imagine for cleaning the mess a little bit is someone uploading somewhere Vol. 0 and/or Strong World... Oh, Black Lagoon, as for your prediction on the fantastic year ending chapter, seems like you was indeed right, seeing that the next chapter's coming out in two weeks and at least we'll see our straw-headed captain kick some heavy asses

Oda has given us so much in 2009, he can take a month off and I wouldn't mind. He deserves a break. Can you imagine the workload he's had working on the movie, manga, colorwalk, other extra stuff? I just don't want him to burn out.

one i think this arc will end soon, maybe the week before the year is over or the week after. The next arc, in my opinion, should be about the SH finding a cure so that Luffy doesnt have to die so soon. The next arc has over a million possibilities. I think this has been one of the greatest years in manga history. many mangas have had amazing arcs, but OP has ruled over all. Oda, congrats on your son and thank you.
