Not to go out of topic..that "thing" lurking at the florian triangle could probably be a mega sea king.Even many times larger than a sea king.Maybe it's called a sea emperor?

Are you referring to the panel where Impel Down was shown underwater with sea kings ? That was just a perspective thing, the fish were in front of the prison/closer to the viewer. I'm expecting Impel Down to be bigger than sea kings. Unless there is a King of the Sea Kings.
And the food battle : Luffy has always shown to be eventually full at a point but Jewelry Bonney never gets full...

My theory to the shadows in the mist is:
They are from the ppl of the weather sky island Nami is ported to.
Reasons:
1. As the SH opened the barrel the weather changed immediately. So the Florian Triangle is somehow weather-related.
2. The guy Nami meets in the sky is thin. The shadows are either.
3. The Florian Triangle should in the reach of Kuma's repel ability because FT was close to a) currents (might be the currents before the red line or the gate currents) and b) after Thriller Bark Arc the SHs reached those currents / red line and the archipelago isnt that far away from the red line.
4. We had those shadow before in the Sky Island Arc. So it might be that this is another Sky Island. And the guess that it is the weather sky island seems to be not that far away _in my opinion_.

The scientist on Nami's Sky island did seems like it's only inhabitant, so why would there be more than one [shadow]. Oda had already shown giant shadows before Skypia, so why would he add such again when Nami arrived there.

I think that it was just like in those old horrorXaction movies, where a kraken attacks a ship and in the end it's shown, that there are even more sinister monster lurking around the shadows waiting for you. The two last panels with those glowing lights and different size of the panel itself were odd anyhow.

now that doc q has been revealed to use a shcythe, then the match ups will surely go like this.

luffy vs BB...........both captains

zoro vs shriyuu..............both are great sword users and VC material

sanji vs burgess....................super strong

chopper(monster point) vs san juan...................biggest members in each crew

brook vs doc q...................shcythe vs sword.

franky vs pizzaro..............mechanical like parts for both of them

ussop vs van auger............both are the snipers

nami vs lafitte.................both use stick like weapons

robin vs ms devon....................two of the most dangerous women in the world


im sure the strawhats will get a new member eventually, more than likely on fishman island, so whomever the next person joins will take on busco shot.

this is how i think when the 2 crews finally do get it on the match ups will shake up.......................THOUGHTS

Brook against the doc lol. Interesting match ups. Will Chopper be able to master/control his monster form? Hard to say.

I'm interested to know how the rest of the SH's will be informed of Luffy's recent adventures. I have a strong feeling that it will be Boa. Maybe, Jinbei too.

@ Wowzers - lol I don't think any okama went missing after Luffy sucked in all that food. I don't think Luffy would enjoy the taste of okama meat!

I know that this might not be the right forum to ask this, but isn't Ace actually the second and WB the third character that died in One Piece that Oda actually show...cause I don't know if it's because of the length of the manga but I can't recall anyone else that died except for that giant who was friend with little Robin???

there's one thing about Oda that makes him very very special, he likes to leave most deaths mostly suggested (Bellamy, Paul ...). The only exceptions being Dr. Hiruluk who died in an explosive not so gruesome and Bellemere which was getting her brains splattered which was the most bloody thing I've seen in this manga (And Roger of course ... the only difference was ... hmmm ... showing the whole scene of their deaths), but after those two, most other scenes of violence tend to be toned down.

If you actually go look, the list of people dead gets pretty long. Assuming there are no casualties in all of the large-scale wars that take place would be silly.

Additionally, Zoro killed the Original Mr. 8, and Sham from Kuro's pirates. Lucky Roux also shot a character in the head very early on. Zoro also probably killed some of Water 7's shipwright crew, despite using the blunt end of his blade. Countless Impel Down prisoners probably ate it due to Magellan. The nameless pirate that Basil Hawkins voodoo'd who ate a Kizaru kick is probably gone... if you think about it you can come up with a ton of deaths in One Piece, just not explicitly epic like Whitebeard and Ace.
