The Couples Thread
Well, I didn't see this anywhere else, so I figured I'd start it up. Here's where we can talk about all our favorite couples from the manga and discuss about 'moments' and what we think will happen.
I, personally, am mainly a Nami/Luffy fan, and a little bit of a Zoro/Robin fan. But, honestly, for some random reason, I would be alright with Luffy pairing up with one of an array of the chicks available (Robin, Nami, Hancock, Vivi).
But, as I said, I'm mainly 'rooting for' Nami/Luffy. Why? I just think they have the most 'cute moments' between them. For example, Luffy's only ever trusted his/Shanks's hat to one person, and that's Nami. And not just once. But three times. First, when he goes to fight Arlong. Second, when she's sick/unconscious and he leaves her alone to go save one of the rabbits (or do something else, I can't remember exactly). And last, when Luffy fights Enel, though I can't remember when or how exactly the hat ends up in Nami's possession. And, also, Luffy has only chosen to submit to an opponent instead of fight them once, and that was for Nami's sake. And Nami also respects Luffy more than any of the other crew members (besides Zoro and sometimes Sanji). She also, while getting angry at him a lot, seems to really understand and mesh well with his personality. So, yeah, I just think they probably fit together more than him with any of the other girls I mentioned, though I can appreciate Luffy/Vivi or Robin or Hancock 'moments' as well.
Obviously, the main problems with the Nami/Luffy relationship is the same problem with any other Luffy pairing: he's kind of dense and clueless when it comes to girls, and doesn't really seem to have any desire for any kind of romantic relationship. But, he's still a male and he's still young, so I think by the end of the series (we've still got a LONG way to go considering they're only about halfway to Raftel) he could mature into wanting that kind of relationship, and I think Nami will be the right one for him.
And as far as Zoro/Robin...I think their personalities just mesh well. That's really the only reason I 'root for them' :P
Anyways, enough about my thoughts. Let the discussions begin
I love the atmosphere it has without the complicated relationships... Simple and subtle won't make much of a difference, but if the manga starts heading in that direction, I might just cry... 
. I would like to see them together even though at first i didn't like Perona but after she spent 2y near Zoro i like the way she changed and she's more cute now
