Who do you want to see as a couple in One Piece?

I'd like to see Robin and Caviar as a couple. As a few already pointed out, that page where Cavendish hands Robin his cape to stop her bleeding was romantic. For me personally, they look like a good couple. She could keep Caviar's alter ego in check and even that seems romantic in a sense

Franky and Robin seems like a great "pair" as well. Refer to the final scenes from OP anime episode 322. *cough*

Updating my thoughts since I just caught up to date The important one is..

Sanji X Pudding.

It's hard to find the "right girl" for Sanji but I feel like if such a thing exists it's Pudding. She's Deredere, Tsundere, and Yandere all at the same time. Is as into cooking as he is. AND is head over heels in love with him. You just can't get any better of a match than that. I love this.

Luffy X Hancock

Is still the most entertaining pairing in One Piece. And far and away my favorite Luffy pairing. I pretty much just need more of her and Luffy together period. That was some of the most most fun in the series.

Luffy X Nami

Still a classic and still the best Nami pairing.

Luffy X Reiju Vinsmoke

Is a fun one to play with. Though more than anything I want Hancock to learn that she kissed him. Not fully into it but Luffy and Sanji's sister isn't a bad combo either.

Franky x Robin

Is still solid but it's a pairing that hasn't had anything to feed the fire in a while.

Usopp X Kaya

Still like this. Still think it's a done deal. But my heart is beginning to drift to other pairings with him now. I feel like way he keeps accidentally playing the hero is going to eventually win the affections of somebody absurdly stronger than him.

Since this is the one piece pairing thread, I'd like to say my piece about one in particular.

While Luffy and Hancock is funny to some. To me it comes across as the typical shonen trope pairing. To better explain what I mean by that, I'll say that it reminds me of:

Naruto x Hinata, Goku x Chichi or Ichigo x Orihime

Now while I understand that Hancock on her own is fundamentally different than at least two of the three mentioned, the pairing itself still reminds me of the trope. The love interest is head over heels for the main character without the main character fully comprehending such. Honestly, it's this aspect of it that made me almost instantly dislike it.

I understand that this is shonen, so the usual excuse is there is no time to develop romance when the manga is mostly about battles yada yada yada. That doesn't mean that authors have to stick with the same formula. And I'm not saying that all do but seeing this same trend across multiple stories is a bit tiring. It stops being funny and quirky when a bunch of other authors do the same thing in the same genre.

Sanji x Violet got blown out of the water after Pudding was introduced. Sanji x Pudding 4 eva!

I re-watched Dressrosa recently and Robin and Law look really nice together. Even though Enes Lobby drove Robin x Franky as far as it could, I don't think Franky can quite relate to Robin's backstory as well as Law probably could. I'm absolutely sure the two can find comfort in each other. And tbh they'd also have the most studious and emotionally unexpressive kids ever LOL.

I was also quite a big Luffy x Vivi fan waaaaaaaay back, so I look forward to their future interactions.

Sabo x Koala is pretty nice, but I also feel like it would be pretty one sided. Sorry, Koala.

And I'm already happy that Kyros x Scarlet was super canon.

I honestly do think it has a lot of backup, not due to romance, but due to necesity. Luffy is an adventure lunatic (lol pun intended). After he finds the One Piece and defeats the World Government, there is no way he retires and chills the rest of his life on some island. He can't stop adventuring, and for that he needs a navigator. Nami's dream on the other hand is the only one that is going to be incomplete EoS, because while she will be the first to map Raftel, she hasn't visited every place of the Grand Line yet.

In addition Nami already got the stretching staff and the Nimbus cloud, all she misses is the Monkey <3

There will be no kissing or cuddling but I totally see at least Luffy and Nami together on a Pirate Ship at the end of the series

Because....

There is no Romance in One Piece is a terrible lie and we all really look pretty bad for believing it.

I mean seriously, the original title was Romance Dawn.

Romantic themes were present since beginning, examples being the Hacchan cover story or Alvida.

But ever since Thriller Bark, romance and sex are themes in almost every arc. On how many weddings have we been since then? Can you really claim that there is no Romance in One Piece?

Now have a look at the two main characters...

Go through it, panel by panel...

You all criticize Sanji for molesting women, but the actual truth is, Luffy and Nami are molesting each other all the time, unless...
