I'm gonna ruin the One Piece for you and also why the Roger Pirates laughed so hard!
I’m simply going to walk your through what the One Oiece is, and how obvious it’s always been.
If you are a die hard One Piece fan, once I’ve laid this out In order, you will guess what it is and why Roger’s crew laughed.
The story of the world government and how they formed is a complete lie.
Let’s start with Pangea castle.

When asked about Pangea castle, Oda said the following:
“I definitely borrowed the name, as for the meaning…? I won’t tell. Lol.”
Pangea was a supercontinent that existed in the past that was broken apart by several cataclysms.

Cataclysm:
a large-scale and violent event in the natural world.
The World Government is a global regime that has ruled the world for over 800 years since it was founded by an alliance of 20 different kingdoms.
The partial truth is that the alliance is telling the very real story of Egypt during the bronze age collapse and the 2 void centuries that followed.

The Egyptians and others like the Phoenicians documented their experience on stone tablets as well as other mediums however their glyphs weren’t able to be translated until Pierre-François Bouchard discovered the Rosetta stone in July 1799.

Egypt wasn’t simply a large kingdom, it was the central hub for several other subsidiaries and they were eating well! Technology, commerce, agriculture you name it. In fact, everything we know in our world about Atlantis came directly from Egypt. This is also why Cobra was killed. He learned that the name of the ancient kingdom was Alabasta.

Problem is, not everyone was thriving and the Egyptians and their alliance were not sharing. Which is a little bogus. Like what would you do if you were starving and had no other options? Starve? Die? Shiiiiit.

Suddenly, a band of pirates known as the 'Sea People' attacked.
They came out of nowhere. They had no country.
They were literally a rag tag group of warriors from all over the world we can only speculate who organized them, but they were hungry.
They also developed a way to stop chariots which were basically the tanks of their time.
Among them was a particular group of pirates called the "Danoi" They lived on their ships and seldom left them.

Also fun fact, the most popular Danite was the biblical Samson, which literally translates to ‘Man of the sun’ but we will talk about them in my Will of D. video.
So in short, take the story of how the world government was formed and turn it upside down.

Professor Clover said the ancient kingdom had an enemy and since they lost said enemy must still be around which is why they inscribed the true history on the poneglyphs.

Also, the great kingdom is more word play from Oda.
The romanization of the great kingdom is ‘Kyodai na Ōkoku’

The word ‘dai’ has several meanings, however in conversational Japanese it also means ‘great’. Maybe big, but in Japan ‘oki’ is used conversationally.
However, whether it’s spelled Kyodai, or Kyoudai it can mean Enormous, Gigantic, or Huge not to mention ‘kyodaishou’ means Gigantism.
Those who think you know where I’m going with this, please be patient. :)

Lastly, in both Japanese and Chinese, and depending on whether it’s written using katakana or hiragana, and how it’s used, Kyodaishou has another meaning:
Siblings. Brothers Brotherhood.

Which is likely why Oda chose to name the ancient giant’s the “KodaiKyojin”.

So the truth is, the great kingdom wasn't really a place. It was an idea.
One nation, composed of people from all walks of life, giants, dwarves, long legs, long arms, long heads, all living together.
But as Clover said, this kingdom had an enemy. This enemy sowed seeds of discontent among the poor and destitute
Destitute:
without the basic necessities of life.

They manipulated the people no different than tyrants like Doffy, banned the destitute together and attacked. Their great kingdom was destroyed, and fractured into 20 nations.

The empty throne is a joke.

It implies they are united and have equal say in the affairs of the world when the truth is:
They were united before the enemy of the ancient kingdom separated them, and enslaved the Oni.

This is where Wano, Joy Boy, and the D clan comes in.

Who was Joyboy really? A few youtubers have guessed correctly, though, and no offense, it seems like most, excluding a few outliers are just spit-balling without cohesion.

Cohesion:
the action or fact of forming a united whole.

This is Blackbeard's Jolly Roger.

I’ve heard so many wild theories about why he chose his flag adorned with 3 skulls.
I’ve heard he was an octopus, that he was 3 people, etc etc.
All great theories but the truth is you’ve seen it before. All over the series in fact. Have a look here.
This is Rock’s flag. He has an Oni skull. Ya know, the ancient giants, the continent pullers.

This is the crotch of a popular continent puller:

Oh wow. Look familiar? I also flashed back to this scene when I saw the curls of Luffy’s eyebrows
As in, why did Moriah choose that bit of fabric with that design?

This bit of info came from Vivre Card Databook – Vol. 11
Oars created a country of ruffians by piecing several countries together. This
country is rumored to still exist to this day, with the way "country" is worded
here hinting at it being Wano like some had speculated

- Oars is said to have died at the age of 159, meaning he must've likely been
born around 700 to 800 years ago, right after the Void Century. The country
of ruffians was said to have been built over 500 years ago

- As a member of the Ancient Giant species, Oars is around 3 times bigger than
the largest giants and even has features that do not pertain to normal giants,
such as fangs and horns

Oars was Joy boy. If he isn’t, one of his affiliates Oni is.
Which is likely why, as I mentioned, Kyodaishou means brothers.
Joyboy, Oars, and Zunesha were friends who likely shared sake and became brothers, just like several others.
There is a Reason Gekko Moriah and Kaido went to Wano. There is a reason Little Oars Jr. was on Wano with Ace.
It’s because the continent pullers created Wano.

Wano is a patchwork country created by the Oni and possibly the dragons.
Of course they were all wiped out after being used, but we’ll discuss that in another post.

What is the One Piece, what was Joy boys treasure, and why did Roger Pirates laugh? This is also where you are going to laugh.
The One Piece is the biggest troll of all time!

After the Dai/Great kingdom fell to their enemy, several of their people escaped via Oni Express.
Pony express:
The Pony Express was an American express mail service that used relays of horse-mounted riders. It operated from April 3, 1860, to October 26, 1861

Ugh I’m so old. My jokes are terrible.

Most of the Oni made their deliveries, all but 2 or perhaps 3. Which is why Toki had no clue where Wano was. The Oni placed their islands high atop the waterfalls out of reach of the enemies and then came the attack. But we will talk about that another time.
Speaking of being ‘in’ wano.

Zunesha is an Naitamie-Norida Zo. They are a specific species of elephant and have very very long legs. It’s possible that he is one of the 3 Nakama or Kyodaishou (Oni) who decided to help the great kingdom by getting them away from their enemy.
I mean he is mostly legs and without them. He is much closer to the same size as oars.

So he may be an Oni with with a Zoan fruit. Hell, the only reason I don’t think he is a devil fruit user is because he is in sea water all day.
Although, what does sea water do to Zoan users if only part of their body is submerged? Luffy showed us in the Fish Man Arc that while it weakens him he could still use Haki. Can Haki enable you to resist sea stone? Also, maybe this is part of his punishment. Walking weakly through sea water in pain.

Either way, his goal was to deliver Zou to Wano as one of the last pieces.
We know Momonosuke told Zunesha recently but what about what happened to his brothers and the other two islands?

So what is the One Piece and why did Roger laugh?

The strawhat is Luffy’s treasure. He referred to it as such during the Logtown arc. This was well before he knew it belonged to Roger and I always wondered how Buggy never said anything about it being Roger's first.

It’s just a hat.
Just an article of clothing right?
But well come back to that.
A man’s treasure is a man’s treasure.
So in a way she is still here. I will discuss the straw hat in more detail when I release a more detailed post about what inspired Oda to run with these ideas.

But for those who can’t wait, and don’t mind a little research, find out a little bit more about the series that inspired Oda to create a pirate manga, and find the episode regarding a secret treasure that the king tried to protect from pirates at the risk of his own life. It’s a worthless treasure to everyone when it’s discovered, but to the King…..it was priceless.

Long underwear, also called ‘Long Johns’ are a type of thermal underwear worn under your regular clothes to ward of freezing temps.

Long John Silver is a fictional pirate and the main protagonist in the novel Treasure Island, though no relation to the undergarments.

Lastly, if you like crispy fast food fish, Long John Silvers is also an amazing seafood restaurant. Please check them out. We don’t have many in New york.

Do you not think it’s a little weird that with all the fan service Oda trolls us with,
the only underwear we see are like, Franky’s or Odens?

It’s a running gag. Oda, much like his hero Akira Toriyama of Dragonball is a Gag Shonen author.
So what is the One Piece?
Its not an ancient weapon.

Roger found the Ancient weapon on Lodestar island 2 years before traveling to Laughtale.
Either directly before, or shortly after, as Oars was heading towards Wano, to deliver laughtale,

THE WEAPON WAS ACTIVATED FLIPPING THE WORLD UPSIDE DOWN. (not as literally as you think. *hint google saint elmo’s fire)
It didn’t matter because they had a failsafe.

The Poneglyphs, especially the road poneglyphs operate much like the vivre cards, also known as the ‘Paper of Life’ do now, which is why the Poneglyphs seem alive. But there was a problem.

Oars is likely Joy Boy.
Oda duped us during thriller bark.
It’s been so obvious. I mean Oars created a new Gum Gum technique. How?
He kept reaching for his hat. Why? Cause of Luffy’s shadow?
Maybe, but last I checked all the giants, just like slaves in America, valued hats because it kept the sun off them.

I mean I know they are just clothes, but Kinemon has a whole devil fruit power dedicated to making clothes.
They were valued. They were treasured.
Anyway Oars rushed in the wrong direction, likely to reach his nakama, having behind Laughtale.

He ended up on Lodestar island and found that his friend either went to Wano, or had died. Either way, The ancient weapon was used and the world turned upside down, but this is not necessarily a bad thing. Roger wanted to do it. Roger and everyone else in the series was speaking literally.
This caused them to all go in the wrong directions, which to Luffy and Roger, would just be a new adventure. This is also the "great cleansing' the world government is using for leverage over the people of the world.

Oda foreshadowed the hats being treasures of the giants very well in Punk Hazard with the Yeti brothers wearing Strawhats, another shout out to one of the series that inspired Oda to create a pirate anime as there are red eyed giants in that series as well.

As well as the frozen giants on Punk Hazard. Just pure unadulterated foreshadowing.

Hell Punk Hazard may even be lodestar. So on Lodestar, Oars died, having traveled in the wrong direction as the world had literally turned upside down, but first he left a message. A little bit of his story, a little bit of his triumph, and his biggest regret; though he froze to death before he finished it.....and like Chopper said, he froze to death by only wearing a loin cloth in freezing weather, but why would he do that? He didn't do it on purpose. He thought he was going the right way,

So before he died he explained how the Poneglyphs could lead them to the island he was carrying, and his most valuable treasure:
HIS GIGANTIC ONE PIECE THERMAL UNDERWEAR!!!

And that is why Roger and his crew laughed. The longest gag of all time. That is why roger asked Oars: “How could you leave behind a Treasure so Stupendous!
Stupendous:
of amazing size or greatness : tremendous.

Oars died 500 years ago:

Since Oars died at age 159, he cannot be Joy Boy.

There is clearly more than one Joy Boy. the will keeps getting passed on. Plus, I'm pretty sure Toki sent people into the future. But this Vivrecard post doesnt make sense. Which is why I personally think this has something to do with what Toki was supposed to do during her convo with Oden.

Didn't Zunisha say Joyboy hadn't been present in 800 years? I don't think there has been a Joyboy since the Void Century. Not really buying that Oars could be Joyboy, either. It's been implied Oars is pretty evil.
