I liked when Luffy was just a normal boy that dreamed with being free instead of him being a toy of the destiny for the sake of the gods

Luffy has always been a toy of destiny.

1. He should have died at Logue Town, but by coincidence, Dragon appeared to save him.
2. Then Smoker almost captured him, then Dragon appeared again - it is impossible to escape that situation without Haki or help.
3. He lost to Crocodile like 2-3 times... makes no sense he ever won this fight to be frank.
4. Then he just happens to have the perfect DF to counter Enel who would have otherwise defeated him.
5. At Enies Lobby, the Merry GO came to life to rescue them, so they could escape a buster call, lol.
6. Should never have been able to defeat Moriah... only to turn out that Luffy could absorb Moriah's shadows to become stronger than Moriah.
7. Then at Sabaody, he had help from Rayleigh & Kuma (2 people who didn't know the other).
8. Ended up being sent to Boa Hancock (Shichibukai), the only person who could get him into Impel Down to rescue Ace... what a coincidence.
9. Gets defeated by Magellan's poison only to have the help of the only counter to Magellan's poison, Ivankov - stated 2-3% survival rate.
10. Not also forgetting he had all the allies needed to not just get into Impel Down, but escape Impel Down too.
11. The ship Luffy used to enter Marineford fell into the only location that was water... they'd be dead had that not been the case.
12. You only have to read as far as Impel Down/Marineford to at least see there is a pattern.
13. And then the moment Whitebeard told us Roger was waiting for a certain person, the story was almost undeniably a "chosen one" trope.
14. After the time-skip in which the SHs get through Fishman Island, Joyboy literally tells us there is a chosen one who will save the world.

You would need to arguably only like the first 95 chapters (end of Arlong Park arc) since that's as close to normal as Luffy has looked... because from then onwards, it's hard to defend any of Luffy's survival as due to his intelligence, strength or planning. Luck can only be a factor so many times before it's not just luck anymore if it's happening every arc.

If you forget this was mentioned first back in Skypiea over 20 yrs ago. You could also make the argument that if we had "devil" fruits that its counterpart always existed as a "god" somewhere. It was just a matter of time before it was introduced into the plot.

until the Nika reveal, "devil fruits" felt like a name given to them out of superstition that we weren't supposed to take literally. consider our source for the ironclad rule about devils fighting each other and exploding a person if someone eats two DF.

look i love skypeia more than most but i need people to stop acting as if the mythological worldbuilding done there was supposed to be explicit foreshadowing that was set in stone from that point and not Oda casually planting seeds where he walked so he could go back and harvest that plot point if his work decades later aligned with it.

Dont forget Sengoku.. the guy have a freaking buddah.. but crazy weak considering he was unable to Kill B.B and once he was countered by him.. barely using W.B Gura fruit without experience for first time ...honestly..

it was only one of the most powerful characters in the series using one of the most powerful DF in the series, smh my head at sengoku

Weirdly... is not like that shockwave did a lot at the rest of the BB crewmembers neither.....and they didnt have a DF at the time... for resist it...

it would have been a little more logical.. being B.B the only one capable to came back to his feets while the rest remains on the floor..

Everyone but Luffy, Chopper, and Momo (who were all young children when they ate their fruits) seemed to have just been instantly able to use their fruits well after eating them. Kaku and Kalifa had their fruits for like 2 days and were able to used advanced and creative techniques. Sabo was using his fruit well like 10 minutes after eating it. Kaido was going full dragon and shooting beams like 2 minutes after eating his fruit.

Sanji and Zoro are up, injured but not completely defeated.

Loki combines his lightning powers with Ragnir’s ice, using several attacks. Imu counters with fireballs.

Sommers and Kilingham are indeed stronger. Sommers, for example, carries a giant ship on his back all by himself. They try to continue their plan to kidnap the children.

Kilingham creates his strongest creation yet (MMA), using the fear of his own dreams: Zaza, the Rain Goddess, whom the World Government fears most.

Zaza is so strong that she easily floods an entire village.

Zoro and Sanji prepare for the final fight against Kilingham and Sommers.

Well, it's been a few years since Wano ended and we still don't even know what's the real canon source inside the story, but I guess that's part of what makes it interesting and Oda probably keeps it muddy so people can't really predict the ending.

Shirahoshi is "Poseidon" and that's an exclusive power (race related it seems), but Luffy is the "Sun God" and his power is a DF.

Skypiae mentioned a Rain God, but the Harley had a god of the seas, not a rain god. We know there's Poseidon, Uranus and Pluton. Lunarians inhabited a kingdom of gods on top of the red line, that's more in line with folktale/perception, just like the current celestial dragons, and yet whitebeard made that distinction. Ryuuma was considered (textually I believe) a god of blade and slew a dragon, but that's both canon and sidestory.

Depends on the expectations I guess, but the Azure Dragon is a deity and Kaido could still fight Nika quite evenly.

I'm honestly hoping we can finally filter this pile of god shit and get the gist of canon/void century stuff, because all these metaphorical references feel like Oda adding complexity for the sake of not having the fanbase figure out his intentions.

Uranus – Vivi (princess) is the key to control it.

Poseidon – Shirahoshi is poseidon, we already know this.

FOREST/EARTH GOD – Teach is Davy and his yami fruit may be earth god/forest god fruit

SUN GOD – Luffy is Joyboy, we already know this.

RAIN GOD – Dragon has the rain god fruit (source says so but I’m not sure)

We see a small flashback of Sanji and Kilingham(pre Imu kicking him away) where Kilingham mocks Sanji again, saying they gonna finish their mission

If true.. and i doubt, it.would explain why Imu's need Vivi's alive.
