it's kinda hard to imagine law straight up winning over BB tbh. It's perfectly reasonable that law would be able to hold his own against any yonko of course but outright defeating BB would leave BB in an unworkable position within a crew which perhaps all to eager to chew him up if he shows weakness. Maybe law outmaneuvers BB? And forces a retreat... Something like BB's ship taking too much damage and law's crew's ability to take full advantage of the ocean to hold them back. Or perhaps law teleports BB's crew underwater.

I do think Blackbeard going to Wano is plausible, since from a story perspective, the Gura Gura no Mi seems to have been made to destroy the walls of Wano

Then Blackbeard would get the Poneglyph from Wano, but would still be missing the ones from Zou and Whoke Cake Island

Law would get the one from Blackbeard, but still miss the one from Whole Cake Island

Luffy consistently struggles like BB is struggling and Luffy always comes out on top in the end.

BB situation is likely to parallel Luffy's struggles where allies are needed.

I could see a situation where Law does some serious damage to Blackbeard. I don't see any point in Blackbeard being defeated here. It'd be a weird way to end that plot line when he's done so many significant things in the story, and also had odd parallels drawn between him and Luffy. I'd also say Law isn't really an underdog anymore. Blackbeard has been really lucky just like Luffy has in the past, so I won't be surprised if we see him have to strategically retreat. Though, I'm not sure what the point of this confrontation is if nothing happens.

I'll only say this once: if Law defeats Blackbeard or achieves anything as significant as that all my hype towards BB will die for no reason at all, and he has been built up to be the greatest of Luffy's (pirate) enemies and his final obstacle to the One Piece for over two decades. Storywise, he's the one who should benefit from this encounter, both regarding the poneglyphs and the hype of his battle prowess.

It's one thing for Law to injure Blackbeard, a massive damage sponge who takes even more damage than normal because of the yami yami and who fights recklessly, but to win this (either to win the fight or to entirely outsmart Blackbeard) would really get the "last saga" to a terrible start for me. I absolutely love Law, but he should know his place in the story when compared to Blackbeard.

I can only pray. Let's see where Oda takes this.
