Well Luffy just defeated the guy with the highest known bounty. It makes sense for him to jump straight to 3,6 billion

Damn, that's the biggest bounty jump in a while. Makes sense $$ wise but I guess the percentage isn't tripled like last time from 500m to 1.5b and now to 3.6b. Endgame bounty for suree.


I doubt Luffy will get anothe bounty raise in the series again as by next time he does something, it'll be close to over throwing the WG itself and they'll have bigger fish to fry than just giving him a 6b bounty. Would be funny if that happens and 2 minutes later he destroys the red line and over throws the WG with Dragon as his subordinate xD

I'm inclined to think it's about vegapunk/new weapon, but perhaps it's just wishful thinking, since I've been saying that he might be aboard the ships for quite a while. Could also be related to Green Bull's powers, and it'd probably make more sense.

When it comes to bounties, I expected more, but I can't say this is surprising.
Luffy vs Kaidou was not a fair 1v1, but I always assumed that he'd "take over" his level of threat and have a bounty around Kaidou's level. If we're to assume that Luffy will end the story with the highest bounty in history, I expect him to get there before the fall of the world government as it is. That means we're likely to have two more antagonists defeated that will raise Luffy's bounty. One's probably Blackbeard, so who might the second one be?

I said antagonists, not pirate antagonists, but since you're giving me the absolute certain route we're following until the end of One Piece, thank you anyways.

Well, since we've been following the story, sure.

Every Yonkou has been established for decades, except for Shanks, so I'm not sure if it's fair to compare feats that happened across different eras and that will probably never get any sort of mention. Luffy is building his own legacy, but we'll probably never get any mentions on how other characters built theirs (aside from Roger).
