For argument’s sake, I’d say that the proliferation of new characters (especially new allies) does take away panel time from the core crew, and imo One Piece is the lesser for it.

You know, I think the real reason these people don't want Yamato to join is because they don't really want to see a powerful female on the Strawhats. Me personally I think it pretty much looks great optically Eswise.
I'm the guy who is all the way for Hancock and Yamato being official Strawhats. 2 conqueror's, 2 non conqueror's as women.
But I'm really pissed at Oda keeping Yamato in Wano. I was extremely looking forward to Oda adding Yamato since Yamato's introduction. It isn't real life but stings

Guys remember New World is mirroring Paradise. So something along the likes uf Blackbeard handing over Sabo to marines or rescue Sabo or Vivi (rescue Robin) arc mighr come.

If this is the final saga it will mirror the summit war saga. Meaning we go through some unpredicted scenarios that appear to repeat.
