The gif is from when Roger attacked Oden ("Divine Departure").

Either we get a similar scene where Kidd goes straight for Shanks and is molly-whopped just like Oden, or maybe Shanks even uses the same technique... which to me would def explain the unreal hype from the leakers.

I'll be honest: after their big fight in Wano I can see Law taking on (again) Big Mom 1VS1 and winning, but I can't say the same thing about Kidd.
And Big Mom herself seems weaker than Shanks...

depends on people's expectations. to me if chapter explains things that i did not understand and at same time keeps a ggod pace, then yes i would agree. untill then, reading leaks making guesses is a fun thing to do.

I kind of consider OP fights like Dragon Ball Z in one way - the winner gets a lot stronger upon recovery. I would imagine both are quite a bit stronger than they were on Onigashima.
