Let's not forget that they can now copy Saturn and we still don't know why, but they're targeting the WG... and probably they kidnapped Koby and Garp to try and meet the Gorosei for this sole purpose.

Are they trying to fool the marines and end this buster call... only to call it again against Marie Geoise?
Because now they could do that while the Gorosei are elsewhere (no one knows about Imu, so he cannot do anything to prevent that)

That is a debatable point. Whilst it is likely/speculated that Devon has copied Saturn's DF power... we are yet to have his power confirmed to be from a DF. Would be pretty funny if Saturn's power ended up being relied on and then it is a blank haha

I don't think it's necessary for nika to have been around that long before. Most countries in OP seem to be monarchies... and it's likely this structure precedes the WG. It's speculation of course but the most likely scenario is that wherever nika ruled, if he did rule, he was regarded as a god. And the 20 kings when defeating his kingdom took over the role of gods. I think an scenario roughly like that is probably the best fit for the planet/celestial body thing the gorosei have going on.

As explained in the Skypeia saga, Shandia was attacked by the 20 kingdoms 800-900 years ago and their civilizations was mostly annihilated, and they most likely lost most of their records of the Void Century.

I feel like it's a better fit for nika to have at some point been an actual ruler of sorts. Even if he didn't stay that way. mostly because of how his fruit is a god fruit basically and also because of how he fits into the planet/god cosmology oda has built. I suppose it's feasible he became a god after the facts as well but as a former ruler at least he makes sense as an enemy to imu.

I'm not gonna go back and read all of your posts but I saw a discussion about Nika and whatnot.

Hasn't it been implied that the DFs come from one's desire/imagination? Assuming Joyboy is from Elbaf and Nika was a God to them wouldn't it make sense that Joyboy would desire/imagine his powers?

The AK was the birthplace of DFs, right? So JB travels to the AK as "the first pirate." Has the same good nature/energy of GR and Luffy. Makes friends and they grant him that ability as a gift.

Also, the whole Eblaf being the land of the giants, that's probably where Zunesha came from too. Oh damn what if they were able to make a fruit for Zunesha and their desire was to grow large?

Hmm what if those exceptionally large beings are also part of the AK?

I'm feeling that Raftel is the AK.

Why wouldn't the WG government in 800 years actually find the RPs and go for themselves? Maybe the AK didn't really "lose" as much as just say "screw you all, we'll chill over here, leave us alone, and we'll leave you alone."

not that i dislike this theory, (nice one actually) but being a Fishmen would not really fit the way Joy boy was introduced, from the official translation "and was the very first man on this sea...
