More likely that not Davy Jones was Joyboy's 1st mate (or rival) rather than being the same person. Zunesha was also supposedly in this crew. Possibly Emet too.

I am more inclined to believe that Davy Jones is more like Joyboy's rival. Probably do not agree on each other's tactics but I also imagine them being kind of like different faces of the same coin. What may make them alike is that one got the light nika and the other, the dark nika powers.

Not really making them invulnerable. Harald was killed, and Rocks already killed his family who were turned.

I don't think it was shown that they were killed, just incapacitated - including Garling.

And it‘s still the same old logic. Joyboy was the first pirate so initially there was no other crew to take members from by using the Davy Backfight. Plain and simple IMO.

Yeah, but him dying would mean he's not invulnerable regardless of the circumstances. Like Saturn was functionally invulnerable until Imu decided to punish him for his failure. I think we will likely find out Domi Reversi isn't some all-powerful ability to grant Imu unlimited soldiers. Similar to when Lulusia was destroyed there were a lot of comments akin to "Why doesn't Imu just do that to Wano/Revolutionaries/other places" then we found out that it was due to the energy requirements of the weapon Imu uses. Being able to create an army of invincible soldiers would be a bit much.

I've been saying it for years. Blackbeard is a descendant from a Pirate that fucked over Joyboy. That's likely Davey Jones. Imu probably had a deal with him, Davy convinced a lot of Joyboy's crew to follow his plan and that's why Emeth was apologizing to Joyboy, he wasn't able to make him King like they planned cause Davey jones sabotaged it based on a promise from Imu that was denied.

All specualtion. Just seems fitting.
