Sure, but how is harald's death a buildup? You'd think that would be a resolution to the arc.

Not a resolution to the arc but to the flashback (i wish) yes, we already discovered in this flashback:

Why Loki uses a bandage on his eyes;
How Harald goes from a fearsome giant to a Gov. slave;
Rocks face and Teach relationship;
Rayleight and Shakky past;
How Shanks get separated from his twin brother;
How Kaido get his fruit;
Karma +100 to Kuma saving Teach;
And a lot more that i can't describe here;

So, to me, it's a conclusion to flashback if we finally discovery why Harald get killed, there's nothing more to explore in a flashback, since Loki begin telling exactly from this moment.

Oh, the seal on harald's arm probably explains how imu got to him. It's a weak bond but can probably be used for imu and his servants to teleport to him when needed. Odds are that god knights kept regular communication with harald by teleporting to elbaf. Imu could have easily possesed an onvoy near harald, kill him, and then leave without anyone ever suspecting. WIth how strong harald was I doubt even the gorosei would stand a chance against him without some drawn out fight... but imu in turn is enough of a monster to take him out without exploding elbaf.

My guess is that strong bonds generate

• Regeneration powers (lvl 2 and 3)
• Ability to be possessed instantly by Imu from anywhere (lvl 2 and 3)
• Mind communication (lvl 2 and 3)
• Imu’s immortality as flesh of Imu (lvl 3)

We don’t know yet if weak mark enables to

• Generate a portal circle on ground or whether some God’s Knight came to Elbaf to draw the mark like God’s Warrior Saturn came to Egghead to draw the map
• Be teleported through the portal

I would assume weak mark enables teleportation of God’s Blade to enable them to work efficiently with God’s Knight instead of travelling the Grand Line but I am not too sure since it seems that only God’s Blade Harald was permitted to live on the surface while other God’s Blades stay in Marigeoise and we saw Harald travelling on ship (even though he was working with Marines more than with God’s Knights).

Maybe God’s Blade can be teleported only if he touches a God’s Knight but not on his own. Like God’s Knight uses portal circle in Elbaf castle to come to Elbaf then brings back God’s Blade Harald to another portal location. These are technicalities that we can expect Oda to develop further when we reach Marigeoise.

With that in mind it'd make sense that the gorosei mark enables extended lifespans and demonic transformations. Though maybe this is more customizable as gunko has a long lifespan while not being a gorosei. And shamrock's sword possesses a demon...

That's still a question mark, considering the only non-Gorosei we've seen do that is Gunko and she's somehow more special than the other God's Knights. She might have the lv 3 mark or something else entirely that links her more closely to Imu. She seems to be even more of a direct proxy to Imu than the Gorosei.

The part where Imu ordered Harald to create a giant army was probably what ruined everything. That goes against everything Harald stood for at the time, and that's why he was probably domi-reversed or possessed by Imu.

indeed,,it couldn´t be other than a Nika User of course--and now that he awaken G5 More than ever... i wonder,, if from the moment he took the Fruit from the CP9 Ship, at some point he could have believed He was the one,,, since he could have eaten it at any moment, but Fate (when Luffy stolen it at the bar ) Proof it otherwise,,

Nika fruit is not a Normal Fruit, got a will of his own,, the fact W.G couldnt get it and lock it in a basement in Mariejois in 900 years, proof it,, i think Shanks Knews this, and knew, whoever took it in that Bar,,it was really the ONE perfect User for it..
