It is already to late. Usopp seems like a Side character for too long (like most Straw Hats after TS).

Personally I've been thinking that Oda made a mistake: he should have made SH into the digger crew with only few important characters (like 5).

It's tough with power scaling where U-N-C were always meant to be "human". It would have been interesting if they had their glow ups along the way or say the 3 of them were tactical geniuses (they sometimes do 'stuff') but i mean really turned the battle. But Oda didn't want a Khun / Mikumo type for some reason and really haven't given them good appropriate level battles in a long time.

Yeah, but he was injured. The implication with dory and brogy is that they were killed while they were domi reversed and thus went back to full power. That's just not what happened with xebec. Probably because he was simply too strong.

I think Rocks was already damaged before he got Domi'd. Imu had stabbed him and he was fighting for a while beforehand. Dory and Broggy were fresher comparatively. Just a guess.

If i must guess.. that scene it would be the last frame from the chapter for a Massive Cliffhanger, this could means #1178 might be Hyped to no ends, and the Kickstart for the really serious stuff.
