D: In the ONE PIECE of these days, all kinds of strong ability users whom even Luffy can't compete with have been appearing, one after the other. In general manga and anime, I feel that the protagonist is established to be the strongest of all, but why did you decide to turn Luffy into a pretty weak-looking rubber Devil Fruit user? P.N. I actually want to see it. I need to see how it would go to know if Imu will recognize Luffys way of fighting as Joyboys. Or mayby Imu will be completly confused by it because he seen Nika power in action before but since every user use their df diffrently he may not be able to predict any of Luffys moves. Plus I want Imu to be utterly disrespected before he try and start serious fight only to realize that he's almost out of time and he need to leave.

Think Oda, lost track of that it needs balance, and some more serious moments. Luffy can keep fooling around, but what makes the story great is also these contrasts. Against Crocodile it was a case in point, the goofiness was great and well introduced, followed by a final match up very serious. Same against Lucci actually. Now it's like nothing matters really to Luffy and has turned into a buffoon

I think there's still some fine tuning to be had. I love it when Luffy is serious in G5, like when Vegapunk died and he grabbed both Saturn and Kizaru. If moments like these happen more often I'd be very fine with the overall goofyness.

What i want to see is: In the most part of a fight, Luffy uses G5 with the cartoon mode, just like he did with Kaido, discovering his new power and etc...

But when things got serious he goes all out using his powers in a way more strategic way and less cartoonistic, IMO.

Yeah, my problem is the growing contrast that makes reading the fight scenes feel increasingly... weird.
What does Oda want ? Does he want us to laugh at Luffy's antics, or feel the mounting tension typical of a saga finale with massive stakes?
At the same time, Oda has made the story increasingly serious, while making Luffy even more detached and "toony."

So, we end up with two extremes: Luffy's lightheartedness clashing with stakes that are supposed to determine the fate of the world.

My favorite fights are Luffy vs. Crocodile and Enel because they have the perfect balance between goofiness, tension, and cool moments.

Since Gear 5, it’s been really hard to feel any tension when Luffy is pulling those goofy faces with his eyes popping out every other panel.

But I have no issue with the way he uses his power like in that image from Fredericoxxx.
At least it fits the nature of his fruit while still being funny.

I love Gear 5. I love that Oda contrasted that general Shonen troupe of serious, angry, rage induced Power Up.

Yet I miss those moments when Luffy was unforgivingly serious, be it when he stood before the Admirals or when he saw Usopps beat up body. Since the enemies going forward will require Gear 5, the tension will break once he transforms.

Wha? So he's basicaly "all in one"? Or he can use that "maki" of his whatever it is to mimic certain powers we already seen before?

Welp..made you wonder isnt it?.. i theorized he might have received E.Y.O from someone in the past.. and that even not Having ope ope powers like Law.. he can share the eternal youth..

and the same with Regen..it probably belong to other D.F and is also sharing..

I belief he have basic traits from several D.Fs ..but nooot all tech and powers.. that can be used or acquired trough skill and practice with them.

I think I feel the same. i dont dislike Gear5 but I miss when Luffy had the skill of getting serious during a serious moment.
The laughter fenzy against Kaido felt forced and anti climatic for me
But now we are in front of a new fight so for now I will let Oda cook

She wont be free EVER.. she have Mark of the beast tier 2000+ probably considering how close she is to him... unless they found a way to sever or erase the pact , there s no way back.. he can take her anywhere, anyplace, anytime, and even if you manage to do it..you cut her off from regen, and she l probably age up to 77

Hmmmm nah. Loki not gonna see them as enemies. It seems he understands that Imu can take control.. albeit she wasn’t really under his control during that period.. more like forced. But there is no reason for Loki to see them as “enemies”

Jokes aside, the matter is serious: as long as her mark is present, she can fight it for a while, but she will never regain her freedom... On the other hand, the mark cannot be eliminated (as in the case of Shanks), since her body will simply regenerate in a very short time...
Maybe Chopper can help, with his exorcising powerslaps?

Ah, well yeah. That makes more sense. Wonder how Luffy will react seeing something so familiar. Hope he won't freak out or anything. I'm still curious if and how Imus power could be related to Big Moms soul soul fruit. His flamey minions are awefully similar to her Homies after all.

I think Luffy will be disrespected physically first, and then Imu will be pissed off - and will be forced tp back to base like you said !
