ive assumed since he showed up and started talking about how awesome it is to be retired and have a beautiful family that gyaban is going to die this arc. i would not doubt it if that's coming up soon.

He has been putting up some death flags, but I’m hoping he makes it through the arc to give Zoro and Sanji some CoC tutoring when it’s all over. The crew obviously needs a power up and he seems like the best one to give it to them.

A short break with Scopper teaching Zoro, Sanji, and maybe Jimbei true rudiments of CoC and maybe Usopp and Brook CoA while Chopper, Nami, and Robin harvest the knowledge in the library and Franky works with Vegapunk to improve himself and the ship seems like exactly what they need.

I guess it all depends on how long Imu can stay out of the Holy Land though.

im leaning this way. weird to imagine the goal being to actually kill the enemy though. i assume oda's going to have them 'knocked out' to solve the situation but with the stakes this insanely high it feels silly for the narrative to leave sommers and killingham alive. like either sommers and killingham have to be straight up killed by zoro and sanji, or oda has to convince the reader that them being kid-friendly-KO'd is going to give the same level of damage to Imu that Harald's actual death did. Oda really can't have his audience-appropriate cake and eat it too, here.

I wouldn't have expected a knight being knocked out to do anything at all to imu. And i also don't expect the price imu pays in the eventuality that a knight dies to be particularly long term since gabans words are suggestive of the Roger pirates succeeding in killing some. I suppose the caveat to keep things more pg oriented would be things like sommers iron heart. Which in spite of speculation we don't know that destroying it would kill sommers. I suppose it could be a cheat code to break imus grasp over his Knights while inflicting the same effect as if they died.

I feel like both Sanji and Zoro need to have their time to shine on their own against their opponents and with Luffy and Loki currently incapacitated Scopper is really the only one who can step in.

Kind of feel like he deserves a Rayleigh stepping in to save the day against Kizaru type moment too, so it all works out nicely in my book. I would have really loved to see Jimbei step up though.

Dude has basically just been turned into a commentator at this point. He’s easily stronger than anyone not on the monster trio and arguably comparable to Sanji and Zoro, but he just never gets to do anything. Feels like it would have been a better move to just make him part of the Grand Fleet, because Oda doesn’t seem to know how to fit him into anything.

Yeah, I just find gaban being operacional this early to be a stretch. Zoro and Sanji of course do need their respective ascensions to Yonko level and they need to be epic.

I've been wondering how super cola would hold up against jinbe. Maybe it's enough of a boost for frank to be up there. I don't think jinbe is actually comparable to zoro and sanji post Wano. That's more of a joke on sanji. The attack zoro used to injure kaidou would kill jinbe twice. At least how I interpret the power scaling in the series i have jinbe beneath doflamingo whom I have beneath sweet commanders or calamities.

Regarding the ending of spoilers... I mean sure it can play out that way. I can see it playing out that way but isn't this just waaay too soon? Like shouldn't we at least get one chapter of Zoro and Sanji each getting their spotlight in their fights? I mean Sanji has to deal with Zaza.

Admiral/Younkou levels for sure ! This is the bare minimum for the King of pirates Crew i guess ! I guess Gaban is doing better than Imu specially because of his way of fight - it would be much easier to fight a weapon master with weapons than with punchs

They better be just "Unconfirmed Spoilers" because why in the world BOTH Killingham and Sommers would be offscreened? Also why Gaban is supposedly there? Wasn't he like COMPLETLY somewhere else still recovering? And I know that people like Rayleigh are still incredibly powerful but enough to rival IMU? That sounds too good.

But honestly, I’m ready for this arc to end and the story to move on. Luffy got Crocodile round 1d, Scopper is getting his cool coming in to save the day against an enemy the Strawhats aren’t ready for yet like Rayleigh got with Kizaru, time to move on to another island now. Please let it not be longer than 8 more chapters. I feel like it could be wrapped up in 3-4 but Oda is really into dragging stuff out lately.

I get where you come from and I also do think that this arc started to drag slightly but I still want it to have solid not rushed end. Because it feels like trying to end it in 3-4 chapters could make ending feel like it's badly writen. I don't mind if finishing Elbaf would take Oda even 10 more chapters. As long as ending is not rushed and sloppy waiting little longer is fine.
