Dear people, it's once again that time of the year! The time of the year normies get angry for their favorite superhero flick for being "snubbed". The time of the year we all pretend to be real cinephiles of great taste and knowledge while secretly watching Mean Girls for the 42th time. The award season is on us - better late than never! Damn you global pandemic, making this year hard for watching films and attending the red carpet.

Traditionally we'll also be holding our annual Mangahelper Oscars Contest. So make your bets, and go and win that Oscar!

How to Play:

The Rules:

The user with the most correct guesses wins the award
Remember to leave your Mangahelpers username in the poll
- No valid name, no win
Only 1 entry allowed
- In case an user does multiple entries, only the last one counts
In case of a tie, the user with most corrects in the "Big 5" Categories wins
- Best Film, Director, Lead Actor, Lead Actress, and both Screenplay categories

Oh shit didn’t realize this contest was happening this year.

I think there is a note on the rules that say it is obligatory to give the Disney Live-Action-Adaptation of the year a nomination in VFX and costume design.

I'm afraid so far I've not seen many of the films nominated, but this gives me an excuse to tick some off. Definitely taking part though, even if I have to do guess work...

Not really. Numbah 1 are movies about Hollywood and film making especially if black and white or by a famous director. Number 2 movies that reference slavery. Number 3 Movies that reference the political climate in a broader sense. Number 4 ONE US minority person who clearly deserves it but everyone will say it's just to appease SJW's. Also only one minority person can win in a category that is not gonna appear in the headline praising Hollywood for that award giving.
