Is there like an "Everything Kawaii" [Culture] thread!? Doesn't necessarily have to be anime/manga-related I guess but I thought it would be a cool thread idea for the Otaku section. I just thought I would put it out in OT Hangout thread to see what you guys think...>.<

I'm loving the "Japanese Accessories: WTF version" thread, Mr. Sama. Great stuff. xd

I love the idea Buggy, feel free to start it!! If there are any accessories you have or wish you had please post pics, I'd love to see them

For anyone wondering: The otaku cafe is not just for manga and anime. The culture prefix allows for anything related to Japanese and east Asian culture: live movies and TV shows, candy, food, travel, etc. And of course anyone is free to start threads on manga/anime cosplay, conventions, accessories, or anything related to manga/anime culture beyond the actual comics/shows. I welcome and appreciate thread starters, enjoy!

I only know about Negima and Akamatsu said that he's taking a break until May 22nd for personal reasons.

Well... This section has been a little under the weather and like you said a lot of them don't have posts since like last year (March = March 2010 ). If you wanna revive any of the threads feel free to just post your own review in any of them

that's odd that you would ask in the Manga Reviews section then... Anyway looking at the series you mentioned, most of them did have new chapters in April. Like Bakuman and HSDK etc. You can check the release tracker at MangaUpdates for the latest releases

Well we finally got a Bakuman release ~

I thought Bakuman had a fairly regular release. I never felt that there was a hiatus of some sort.

I'm pretty sure MRI release weekly. Last week was Golden Week so Bakuman wasn't released. The chapter didn't come out early like the big 3 either.

Well, it's going to have a 7-day window, either way :P

MS just happened to be able to get the early sales raw that was out Saturday, while MRI didn't get them until Thursday.

the early releases must have just made Bakuman seem longer, but there are a few in that list that have got quite a long period~

Until Death Do Us Part has been delayed by raw issues. Raws for chapter 118-121 are missing. Raws are available for chapter 122, the latest in Japan. I'm not sure what's going on with the others.

Wow...this feature manga...witches...it kinda surprised me...the art...I would usually hate it if it weren't for the beautiful close-ups to the eyes, lips, or just face in general...the plot...well it's kinda obvious at least for now, that this is a revenge themed manga, but I won't say more until I finished it

Igarashi's art is dazzling, it seems much simpler than it is.

I want to hear what you think, once you've finished. Especially about some of the symbolism and subtext.
