Anyone familiar with a Manga Editor who might be interested in completing a couple of mangas from kaju hajime...luck stealer and mind assassin? These two deserve to have complete Edited Mangas imo.

Hm ... did I get this right?

"Shounen", "Shoujo", "Seinen", "Yosei" - these aren't actually "real" genres but more like a description of a target market (both age and gender specific), and each story of these "group names" can cover one or more of the "classic genres" (comedy, tragedy, action, erotic)

(Which is probably why I'm enjoying RRR and Karate Shoukoushi Kohinata Minoru while reading Ryuushika Ryuushika at the same time?)

That is correct. Shounen, seinen, shoujo, and josei refer to the age and gender of the target audience of a magazine, rather than genre of the series. All that matters is what magazine a series is from, not the content. Thus Claymore is shounen in spite of the graphic violence, while Chi's Sweet Home is seinen despite the fluffy kitty. This is because Claymore is in the shounen magazine Jump SQ while Chi's Sweet Home is in the seinen magazine Morning. Shounen, seinen, shoujo, and josei actually indicate where on the shelf a store displays a magazine and what is advertised between the manga.

Pretty surpsied nobody is talking about this...Avril Lavigne in One Piece Film Z

According to Shonen Jump issue 47, Lavigne loves One Piece and Eiichiro Oda (the series creator) loves Lavigne’s music. Lavigne and Oda exchanged music and thank you letters and it was settled! Lavigne will be contributing two songs to the movie – “How You Remind Me” (originally by the band Nickelback) and “Bad Reputation” (originally by artist Joan Jett).

Manga 'xxxHOLiC' To Be Resumed in Feb 2013

According to CLAMP Festival official Twitter account, a new series of manga "xxxHOLiC" was announced to start in February 2013 on Young Magazine. The title is "xxxHOLiC◆戻 <Rei>".

I don't know if this is a good news or not. I thought CLAMP wouldn't want to have to do anything else with TRC/xxxHolic combination after they put it to an end.

So yeah, wanted to make a thread, but I really want to know everyone's opinion on the whole flat chested vs big breasts discussion about anime/manga. It's really interesting since one of the main stereotypes for anime are the large breasted females, yet again, we do see "cute little girl" stereotype as well, magical girls and so on. So I was wondering, what's everyones opinion on it?

Lol, it was going to be FLAT CHESTED APPRECIATION THREAD, in the beginning, I'll work something out. It can be picture orientated as well.

One of the SBS questions from ONE PIECE's tankobons has someone mentioning to Oda that whoever is talking in the panels always has their mouth open- i.e., you'll never see someone next to a speech bubble with their mouth in a straight line. I then flipped through a random copy of JUMP and noticed that there are surprisingly several series that have their characters talk even though their lips aren't moving.

At first I never noticed this detail, but now it has become pretty distracting.

Has anyone noticed this or other similar patterns in manga?
