This is Google Play link. There's also an iPhone app but I didn't look that one up.

I don't think it's very smart to build apps for every little service and force a certain reader upon users but any new legit manga publishing on modern hardware is welcome.

The DeNa app is really convenient and I like it constantly does push a message on the phones top bar that a manga has been updated that day. Compared to Crunchyroll manga and even viz manga is really good at letting us know when stuff is up, and the content is actually nice and varied. Im curious when more series will be added. Its Hakkenden one is my favorite.

I'm interested in reading Slam Dunk because of the iconic Inoue Kazuhiko and Kuroko no Basket because of its hype. I'm the type of person who prefers to read one series at a time so I was wondering which one of the two would be more suitable for someone who doesn't know anything about basketball? I will get to the other manga eventually, but I want to be sure of the specific rules first.

Slam Dunk offers the more refined take on basketball with real world rules, good fast pacing, and nice art with great characters. Id do that one first.

Definitely the first, i would not call the second one a basketball manga but i am biased since i played myself

After you finish with Slam Dunk, I'd suggest you to read REAL as well. It's made by Inoue too, and since it's a Seinen, it concerns on tougher aspect of Basketball as a sport.

Real was really boring, I couldn't make it past the first volume, and so many emotions I didnt want to experience.

It's no surprise for me if you think so, to be honest. It deals more with the psychological aspect of disabled athletes rather than talking about Basketball per se, so yeah, might be a niche read, but definitely worth to try.

it's meant to make you feel like that, it's all about the characters. Well it certainly had me feeling uneasy as it dragged into boring drama stories about social life, but I was reminded of what the manga actually was about. And it was a rather fun read considering you get used to it after a while.
