What do we know to be a fact about the Danzou vs Sasuke fight?
Every single time Danzou was hit, it was the real Danzou, it's just that he had a little jutsu active, called Izanagi, that made the fact that he was injured or killed an illusion, right?
Well, how about when Pain tries his hand, using this?
Kakashi had Raikiri active, but while Pain had one of those chakra rods stuck inside Kakashi's body, he easily used his power to easily deactivate Kakashi's Raikiri.
So, there's precedence for Pain stabbing someone with one of his chakra rods, and then using a specific technique to easily deactivate any currently active jutsu, causing it to fail.
Danzou here, if that last eye was really open, he wouldn't have been fatally injured by Sasuke. Danzou's injury would have been an illusion.
If Pain stabs Danzou with one of his chakra rods, and then quickly does exactly what he did to cause Kakashi's Raikiri to deactivate, then wouldn't it also cause Danzou's Izanagi to deactivate, making whatever fatal injury he just received from Pain real?
If Pain's chakra rod would have hit the real Danzou, just like all of Sasuke's attacks did, only Izanagi undid whatever Sasuke did, wouldn't the fact that Pain used that jutsu deactivation trick on the real Danzou before he turned it into nothing but an illusion, mean that any jutsu Danzou currently had active as of that time, namely Izanagi, would deactivate, making Danzou vulnerable, just as he was here against Sasuke when he deactivated Izanagi himself?
Well? Makes sense or what?
