I like the first one, but why he is green?
Assuming yahiko died awhile ago, I wanted to make him darkish brown, while I used a cyan lightsource, as the highlight suggests. If you look at the shadowareas for example, they are very much brown, while the highlight areas are cyan, which is infact between blue and green. There's very little green in there, which is located inbetween going from dark (yellowishbrown) to light (cyan), and if you add these 2 together, you get green.
Some people see differently when there are both redish and greenish hues used, I myself mix up certain greens and browns, so it may have something to do with this. For instance I can't really see the number in this image.
It may be that I should stay away from these colours, as I have a colour blindness of some degree, and that's probably why I digg using them together unlike any other color combination (can't really explain it, you gotta be colorblind to know it!

).
I see many of you would like a more rendered finish, but that's not the purpose of this image, it was to use as few relaxed strokes as possible to catch the essence of the character. I feel Pain is supposed to be an intimidating character, with little expression, and supreme confidence.
Something like this would of been more in your liking, paintingwise? (yup, pretty rough too, but you get the idea)
