Speaking of choosing the winners and losers, I have to mention the Ibu-Kamio match. Kamio was supposed be to part of the Losing Team. No matter how you look at it, Ibu was the prodigy type while Kamio the type to climb up a mountain. (TN: Haha! Poor Kamio.)

I had wanted to write about Kamio's growth and the Winning Team was originally going to be my main plot, so I put him in the Winning Team. However, when I changed the main plot to the Losing Team, somehow only these two remained in their original groups. By the time I realised, the manga had gone to print (bitter laugh)

He admitted he fucked up on the Shinji-Kamio match...Interesting.

Some of you were concerned that Sanada and Niou would have no more screen time after they lost.

In this forum's case, Fayte and me respectively. Though I think we were all assuming the losers would return from the start.

I thought, wouldn't it interesting if I wrote about the Losing Team instead? I had a hard time deciding who would be the winners and losers. Especially Ryoma.

At first, I wanted to put him in the Winning Team since he is a character that can't lose.

Yeah, he admitted that Ryoma can't lose. Very well Konomi, acceptance is the first step...

As for the mountain climbing, I thought of it when I was in a café in France by the Seine River. I thought the mountain climbing was too far from reality and I might lose my fans, but I believe those who followed the series up to this point would continue even if it is mountain climbing. So I wrote it.

I was having doubts about it, but I thought Tenipuri was just the type of manga that challenged the boundaries of reality.

I love how this amounts to "Tezuka killed dinosaurs. If you can live with that, you can live with the mountain climbing."

...And the worst part is that he is completely right, none of us cared because we are so used to reading POT.

We got the court rankings.

The Middle Schoolers are all 6th court and below

On the 6th court we have Yagyuu, Tachibana, Akaya and Shiraishi

On the 7th we have Yukimura, Gin and Liliadent

will post rest after I eat.

Well then I guess court rankings don't mean too much then if Yuki is 7th. But thats still a high ranking, top half in the whole camp.
