Discussion Phantom Troupe and the chimera ants

Just from this alone, I think it is pretty obvious that the spiders would have to fight with the chimera ants again.
So, do you think the spiders or the chimera ant would win this time round?
Would Gyro be able to takeover Meteor city?

I know Gyro is dangerous and stuff but somehow I don't think he is that strong.(I think I may be the only one who doesn't really much about him)
Personally ,I felt the spiders would be able to defend their city and they are definitely strong enough to fight back.So,they might win. Though it is way too early to speculate.
Opinions?

What will make Gyro so dangerous is that he is a leader.
The residents of meteor city will follow him as their new king.

The spiders will be outnumbered.

Thinking about it. As strong as Meryem was he wasn't a very good king.
There was all sorts of mutiny going on with the chimera ants and Meryem.

Meryem made up for this lack of leadership by pure super strength.

Gyro will be the opposite. He will be relatively weak. But he will have an army of
at his disposal of Chimera Ants, Meteor City suicide bombers, and many others.

Meryem has the highest ability out of virtually any aspect in HXH, including leadership. He just saw no point to lead anyone below the Royals level, which is probably the correct decision as those guys don't really contribute much compared to the level he's at. That is to say if there was actually a way for Hunters to round up 2 Uber Gons + Netero to defeat Meryem in a fair fight, no one below Royals could possibly stop these guys so he has no reason to depend on the rest of the Ants outside of the Royals, because they're far too weak.

The Spiders have no chance of defeating Gyro if he has even a dozen or so Ants since even the random no name Ants can force the Spiders to use their strongish attacks. Feitan needed a bailout special ability (going from 'can't hurt someone at all' to 'instant kill' requires Uber Gon level of commitment, which he clearly did not give) to defeat Zazan and presumably Feitan is at least better than the average (he seems to be a combat specialist, quite af few of the Spiders aren't even there for fighting purposes). Of course since the Spiders are popular characters they'd never lose to a no name figure but honestly the Spiders could've lost a quarter of their members if the guys they fought had a brain, or they just ran into 2 Ants instead of 1. Phinx is the only one who won his matchup very comfortably (Kalluto presumably got super lucky drawing a weak opponent since he won easily and yet all the Spiders who are clearly stronger than him had a much rougher time overall).

Gyro a weak one? Interesting. Certainly it will be a dark strategist for his past. It fits.
I believe it's going to be a war between him, the spiders, and the mankind with the owner of the Chimera eggs, meanwhile Gin and Gon are in the Dark Continent.

Meryem was a terrible leader. There was too much mutiny within the Chimera Ants for Meryem to be a good leader. Even as loyal as the royal guards were there
was conflict there as there idea of serving Meryem was much different from Meryem's own idea. Case being Pouf. Too much disagreement about Komugi.

Gyro weak?

I must say I'm always pissed when I read that thing on HxH forums. Haven't we learn anything yet from this manga? It's not about the level, is about how the technique works against other in some number of situations. Meryem isn't the strongest being on the HxH world. Gosh, if that would be the case the situations would have been PLENTY different and not only 5 hunters dedicated to it. Netero wanted to fight, he's old...He was not the top dog in HxHverse. Even Morel was at his 30% when fighting Pufu and it was doing incredible well.

Gyro is...WE.DONT.KNOW. He's an ant, so He's strong. Being an ant is a device to say "he's naturally stronger than the regular human being". Nothing else. Nen applied: He's actually dangerous. But not the top dogs. Gyro WAS a top dog before...He lead a fucking country after being NO ONE in a world that is handled by congress man who actually ALLOWED HIM to IMPOSE the rules of NGL.
They wouldn't do that out of believing...They would do that to avoid conflict because it may be dangerous for them. So, in perspective, Gyro is dangerous. And hell smart. And if his will reflects his Nen strength his utterly strong. And if his technique is smart as He is, he's probably dangerous to the point that He would probably take out at least 6 or 7 members of the Genei Ryodan now that Uvogin is out.

Well, everyone seem to have different perspective regarding this.And there are pretty interesting.

As a human ,maybe Gyro was more smart than strong since he was captured by the chimera ant arc and eaten.As a chimera ant, he might have gotten much more stronger but somehow I don't think he knows nen. Not every chimera ant knows nen ,even the higher ranking one has to learn it and afterwards create their own nen ability.He may have a lot of aura in the same way Pitou has but without actually officially learning it ,he can't fully uses it. As Uriel pointed out ,Gyro is too much of an unknown right now.And that strength level does depend on a lot of factors.

Though ,I won't exactly be suprised if Gyro turned out dead the next time he appear.After all ,Togashi is the master of trolling suprise.

Even if Gyro were able to to defeat the spiders somehow ,I doubt the residents of meteor city would gladly accept him and would only obey him out of fear.The resident of meteor city has been running their city by themselves .And for someone ,particularly an chimera ant to barge in and call the shots ,it would causes havoc. Personally ,I doubt the spiders would obey him.
