Exactly, the premise was really good but it went awry. You put it better than I did before.

just recalled earlier today: client called in reporting a printer problem
client: hey mike, i think there's a rat inside the printer.
me: oh my, is he comfortable in there?
client: *laughing* i don't think so.
me: that's what i thought. there's no A/C.
client: *laughing still* no, i think it's already dead.
me: i'm so sorry to hear that sir. let me call a guy from facilities so we can get him out of there and give him a proper burial.
client: *laughing hard* that's a good idea. you can send Nagaraja (head of onsite team).
me: i think i'll send Vineeth (asst head of onsite team) instead. Nagaraja might cremate his body.

the client was laughing so hard that the line went dead after a few seconds. LOL

weeeell...

mark this day as... "The Cabinet Incident"

Recently there hadn't been a day where my boss couldn't point out a mistake in all things I do. It may be something soooo small that he blows out of proportion. And I got to thinking "screw you". I used to work hard and try to do better, but lately I just noticed that whatever I did he'd always ALWAYS look for something wrong. What frustrated me was that due to some circumstance I realized he did not even see me as part of the team...

so today when he was giving me shit I couldn't take it and I hid in our cabinet to cry there- let it all out so I could do my job again in a much more composed manner. But he looked around for me and found me there. OH SHIT my face must have contorted so much and I cried so hard I couldn't breathe.

When he started asking why I was the way I was... everything came spewing out: I can't keep quality anymore because I do all the damn work and reach up to two hours overtime about four times a week- I can't take my breaks etc. etc. etc. From picking the herbs to cleaning the fucking walk-ins.

All this in that dark, smelly cabinet.

I don't really know what he can do about that but at least I said all I wanted to say from day one.

I... plan to do my chores early in the day (12 noon.. ish) and go grocery shopping... and JOG. If I get friends to come jog with me I could die a happy death.

uh... i don't think he's the jogging type.

Besides, I went to drink with him that one time because my girlfriends were unavailable. This time I really wish to see my girlfriends. It's a must- it's therapy.

my girlfriends really are in manila- speaking of which, mag te-ten years na kami as girlfriends this 2013- we all met and became really close back in 2003 during first year college- all probinsyanas coming together in one dorm. So lahat kami bisaya :D

*sigh* women.. why can't it be na "i can't wait to be there" instead of "i want you back here". tangina yan.
it actually depends, dude. I mean, Abu Dhabi isn't really the girl's paradise is it? there are a lot of restrictions for women there. So... she'd have to go there for necessity, not as a say... final destination.

it's not really the place and its culture yung issue nya. i don't know how to say it. it's like issue nya yung priority ko sa family ko. and as long as i am not done yet with those obliigations sa family ko, then she said she won't feel convinced that the reason i'm working abroad is for "us". why does someone still feels insecure of my family when all i've been doing here is for us, aligning my career paths and decisions for "us". if i was just thinking about my family and my career, i would've been in canada by now.

*sigh* hayaan mo na yan. dagdag stress lang to an already stressful life.

well..

I don't know. It's like, maybe our situations are different.

What I feel towards my boyfriend naman, is that he's got separation issues... separation from parents. he's 28 years old and he's still living with his parents and he's coming up with all sorts of excuses to stay there. Including my working here in Makati.

I told him where I live or work is not really the issue here. The problem lies in the fact that he can't ever leave. So even if I go back to look for work there, I doubt he'd choose to move in with me- because, like i said, that's not the point.

on a totally unrelated note... spent 3500 on undies... I decided to just replace everything...

you really didn't have to share your underwear binge, since most of us here are males, with the mindset of "if you can still wear it, don't replace it".

and yes it's true we do have a separate stack of undies we use in case we get to that "impress the ladies with your mint underwear" scenario.:super

re: new guy- WELCOME!

re:day off- I get weird days off too...and it changes each week; Sunday+Monday this week.

re:absence- I love doing prep, but working the entremetier station makes me prep for days in advance, only for it to be used up on the same day...the only up side is that my Globals finally arrived! :D

re:friends- 10 years of solid friendship is good. I my self have a bro whom I've been bros with since we were nine (I use the term "bro", since he's the closest thing I have to an actual brother)...sadly, we haven't been able to talk as frequently as I'd like after HS.

re:boyfriend & living situation- it's his parent's fault. If they didn't sow seeds of separation anxiety, he wouldn't have this problem.

re:underwear- Stack? I have two pairs of "special" undies...both black. As far as underwear is concerned, I only replace if:

1. bacon
2. large holes

@paper
i thought you loved bacon. :teehee

seriously though, this one time i was on a bus with my mom, and it got filled to capacity, my mom and i were sitting and a dignified looking gentleman in his 50's wearing formal wear (heck, even a tie) stood in our aisle. but when he raised his arms to hold onto the railings...

he tucked in his long sleeved shirt inside his underwear, with all its bacon strip goodness spilling out of his belted trousers.

@friendship
meh, i have friends since i was in elementary school, and most of them i still hang out with on weekends. we were the "geeky" squad for loving anime when it was still in its infancy. and we beat them up for it. yeah, we fill the "bully and geek" classroom niche pretty nicely. even into high school.
