yeah that's some pretty nice eye candy, though I thought the story was unoriginal... :/ forgettable, even.

bah. that's not the gist of the story, hunt. Actually I don't know what the gist of the story is even now, at ep 8, because the series is such a mindfuck. And I won't even bother reading the novel- it'll make my brain go haywire.

i was in it for the fight scenes. and yes, i think they should have stretched more on nanashi's legend and red hair, maybe shougen caught a glimpse of nanashi and had said something spine-chilling about nanashi? i dunno. must be my expectations on how it could've been better.

IIRC, Nanashi was voiced by Kimura Takuya. Or someone from SMAP. ). The production was really good, it's just that the story was crap.

I haven't seen the Thirteen Assassins film yet, but I've been warned of the gore. Kinda wish that had an anime version. The ending scene would've been awesome. Or 47 Rounin.

already saw 13 Assassins. gore was ok, i've seen worse. story was above average, so-so as friends describe it.

hee. try watching Ninja scroll. Not that it's gory or anything, it's just a pretty classic anime about 12 demons too, IMO.

Basilisk. The live action movie was titled Shinobi: Heart Under Blade. (Which is an awesome lesson in kanji, BTW. The character for Shinobi is literally the character for heart under the character for blade). That was such a sad film .
