btw, online resumes samples dont seem to have some section for personal background info... do you think its necessary for me to include these in my resume? i want to find job too, since im not so sure when i can resume on my studies.

really, so, theres no need for me to provide for it? like, all i need is my skills and working experience, my educationl bckgrd? and character reference?

and, for the character reference, do you think its appropraite if i include my instructors in it? and should i inform or ask permission from them to include them as for my character reference?


edit: ghaakk, what i meant was, personal info, like, citizenship, status, language, religion, height, weight gender date and place of birth, etc...?

@doods: former employers much better, especially if a friend. like me, from now i'm gonna put my awesome sup in all my references we call him "papang", he's old, but active and grabe ang sabay, siya pa nga nagpapasimuno ng gulo

i dont have employment history yet other than a remote translation task< i juggled that and my studies>...if that includes my routine housechores then i might be able to add another, but im not that dumb to put doing dishes and dusting and sweeping floors in my skills and experiences....lol

seriously, is it ok to use only 3 character references? the remote translation work is rather non-formal arrangement, more like, a commission?i get paid for every quarterly translation work completed and submitted. the first reference is the former publishing director <or should i go for the present publishing director? i stopped the translation eversince 2005, and this director-reference is no longer in that position> next is my org's president. next is my instructor... sigh, i know i dont have that very great references, but i really dont have employment history yet... i have another good reference but i get a bad feeling including her in the list.

yeah i applied once. didn't get in due to my as-of-yet unreleased TOR.

@DoD- A clean C.V. can be both good and bad. Good in a sense that they can easily mould you to what they want and need you to be, bad since you'll be taken for a dumbshit at work.... Just write your academic achievements, extra curriculars, references from your councellors/ advisors/ mentors, and other skills like using word, excell, power point, etc... Also put in various competitions you've won, it may help.

just type in anything that you think will get you in doods, like me, in a call center i just needed to put in there that i graduated from comsci and proficient at english, i didn't put anything else, so they hired me in. and then when you start the job, you show them how good you are

but seriously, since you still haven't had any previous job experiences, your academic career is what'll count. also try to give them an impression by putting in special skills which you think might help you land a job. as yonie stated, he's got good english skills so he went to a call canter. of course nobody'd hire you if you say you suck at it.
if you want to say apply for a teaching position, include there any teaching experience, no matter how small even if you were not paid for it.

don't put in hobbies, and such. also, make sure your resume's not too long. 2 pages will do.
