The UP Anime Manga Enthusiasts (UP AME) is the first ever recognized collegiate anime organization in the Philippines. They are also the same group behind previous successful events such as the Una kAME!, kAME Ulit!, AME Matsuri, AME Gakuensai, AME 8th Avenue and AME no Jidai.

That's right. Our convention's gotten so big, we can't rent out Bahay ng Alumni at UP anymore, so we're taking the convention hall instead. You know, the one right next to Mall of Asia. Hope to see you guys there!

Heheh, well, my online identity is mostly a secret - though I've pimped this over a couple of other aliases as well. ^__^ The cool thing is when you meet people online, find each other IRL and realize that you've been acquaintances all along. (This has happened twice for me already).

T_T how sad that conventions here in cebu are close to nil.

I used to go to anime conventions back in Manila. I attended the UP AME matsuri last... 2007 was it... at the Bahay ng Alumni. hehe.

But I heard that Ayala Center here in Cebu is hosting a cosplay contest... That's about it. I told my sister (she works for the mall) to host a comic con here but it was too much a niche market for Cebu.

speaking of cons, I had always thought alodia was so hot and all... but just two days ago I saw her again on animax and I didn't like her too much after. like, was it some new cosplay or something that changed her face somewhat? I'm not too sure.

Never been to cons. None of my pals were otakus and now that I'm using a walking stick, I'm gonna feel like that old man perv from Family guy walking into one .

She's growing up. She started and made her most famous cosplays way back when she was a teen, and as she grows into her mid 20s some of the youthful charm tends to be lost in favor for more mature beauty (or lack of it depending on how one looks at it).

I was talking to some recently-found geek friends here in Cebu who were pilgrims of the comic con in the US. I told them we have those in Manila, they didn't need to go to the US every friggin' time spending their money and all, if it actually mattered. They were surprised there was even one in the philippines. It does lack the advertising here. Even in Metro Manila it's not advertised. you just hear about it by word of mouth somehow...

They should really make it big!

The comic con sucked though. One of my friends had to stay there the whole time because her company was doing the marketing for it... She said that it was like divisoria with costumes and events...
