re: super typhoon- We were supposed to have out accounting finals today. but since it rained (really) hard, i decided to go home, in fear of getting stranded (again)... now I have an INC for a grade...FML...

It was like a drink, it was just brown stuff mixed with water and a bit of sugar. I was a bit constipated and my moms crazy friend recommended it and it did help with that. But im not trying it again (now where's my coke? xD)

never eat at chowking. or tokyo-tokyo. they're expensive cheap imitations of what you can get at quality restaurants.

I don't know in Manila if you can find cheap dimsum but in Cebu it's all over the place.

I never really got to eating in Chowking because I was familiar with the Cebu restaurants.

Ahh JFC. Congrats .

Chowking is a guilty pleasure for me because it makes the grease-interlaced noodle soup accessible.

And yeah, Manila sucks. Especially during the ber months.

Oh, and of course you can find cheap dimsum in Manila (Read: Binondo) . There are also some over the place but you have to know how to find them.

There are a lot of good dimsum places in Binondo... that is if you're not big on food safety and hygiene. You ONLY want the oldschool places in Binondo; places that have gotten both a reputation and infamy. After all, good food always has a bit of dirt in in anyway.

Siomai/ Maki Mi- Mañosa in Ongpin or Masuki in Vinavinis (siomai/siopao/taipao/ noodles... if you're into their style of noodles).
Noodles- Ling-Nam in Alonzo. They make their own noodles fresh, daily.
