Bora's gonna be in decline pretty soon unless the LGU there decides to stop being money grubbers and start to actually take care of their cash cow.

Still, even Cebu would still be a comparable prospect to Manila (with lots more potential) as long as Noynoy doesn't undo the business decentralization the past government was trying to achieve.

Not really new, but its causing a ruckus because our President whined at the APEC summit a few months ago that the terror threats other countries (including UK) posted against us weren't true.

Turns out he was wrong.

APEC? I always thought thats were some heads of state go to play dress-up.

No but to be serious, he has every right to whine. After the attacks in the west im sure those governments deliberately pressured other countries not to advise against travel (Even at the height of the IRA and 9/11), and tourism is far less percentage of those countries gdp. Its hypocritical for them to then go...hey wait a second, shit dangerous over there. Personally from the outside looking in, controlling tourism to major tourist spots like the philipines/thailand is probably the best way foreign governments can influence those countries and they will use any excuse so as to hold leverage. Especially with the "China" bogeyman. So yea, he has every right to whine but then that politics for you. =/

enough talk about my job. I'd been escaping from reality by watching Meteor Garden, on top of that, reading the full 37 volumes of Hana Yori Dango... and I have the mind to watch the J dorama....

speaking of Canada... my dean just contacted me asking if I was interested in Canada... an employer was coming to the school for interviews.. I just said yes even without thinking..

my 250G seems to be enough for me. I just need to burn all these completed downloads but my burner's past the 10,000 limit perhaps, it's taking 2 hours to burn a single DVD -_- I should buy a new one but I'm holding out... there are more important things like travel...

my 250Gb's NOT enough for me. Now good thing I convinced my parents to upgrade my ancient PC... Now all I gotta do is canvas a good setup not exceeding 22k (because I'll be using that 19" LCD monitor)

I'd probably think the same thing. Canada's a great place to immigrate to, but I'd rather not leave the comfort of home.

@Hunt- It's tough building on a budget. Is that 22k less the monitor or inclusive of the monitor? I'd personally rush to get my board and CPU upgraded, since it's what's supposed to last the longest anyway.

@MD- Canada is great. I've never been there myself, but all my friends who've moved all say that it's worth the effort.

re:HDD- I got me a 1tb one for cheap last year. It's about 50-60% full now...filled with shows, HD movies, and HD porn...

One thing's for sure: you won't be getting an i7 and a decent amount of RAM on 22k.
