EDIT: This day is one of the hottest day ever! In my room, it reads 35 degrees! If this goes on, I can't imagine my sleeping habits to be normal anytime soon.

Ok, I'm going to whine here so if any of you people are allergic to whinin', then you can stop reading.
Yesterday was my last day for the week and as everybody else is aware of, it was the 15th yesterday. For employees, it's one of the most significant days of the month. Why?
SALARY
But yesterday was the especially important for me. Why? For three straight weeks, I have worked and waited for this day to claim my first salary in 7 months. 3 straight weeks, living only from what my brother and mother gives me which is basically transportation money. I don't eat during work. Why? Coz I can't. I'm always being left by myself and I can't abandon my post if I don't have anybody else covering for me. So what do I do? I painfully became patient till someone comes in. But I don't have money to buy food. So, I just go down to the back of the building and satisfy myself with a smoke or two. To top it off I was bluffed by my boss to have my schedule changed to 2 am -11 am daily. I mean, WTF!! I'm living at least 2 cities away from work, with a minimum of 1 hour travel time if the driver had not taken Imodium before driving, and then he changes my schedule like that? Not to mention, we have to wear semi-formal clothes. It's like I'm parading in front of hold-uppers saying, "I've got money! I'm a free target!"
But in the back of my mind, everything going to be alright now that the 15th is here.
Or so I thought.
I went to get my ATM that day after shift (after a grueling day of too many tickets, too many trouble going on etc. etc.) and excited since my co-worker said that he was already able to get his ATM and withdraw. SO I reluctantly finished my shift up until 11 am, from which I can go out at 10 am since we are not having any lunches, but I was so elated at the fact that I'm getting my salary later that I felt being altruistic for the moment and offering free services that day mattered so little.
After picking up my ATM, I immediately went to the nearest branch to have my PIN changed. Of course, what I saw there was a gigantic snake line of withdrawers. It was the 15th after all. It was a long hour wait on the line but I didn't have any choice, I wanted to change the PIN there so that I can get rid of the old PIN and be able to withdraw. Besides, I can't do it here near our vicinity since there are no branches of that bank anywhere near.
I stood in front of the ATM and inserted my card. I keyed in my PIN, pressed on the others button, change PIN, entered my desired PIN then VOILA!
ACCOUNT BLOCKED OR INACTIVE!!
WTF! I tried to do a balance inquiry thinking it was only an error on my part keying in a wrong PIN, but I was so wrong. It still says the f$%&ing error! I collected myself and thought, it may have been delayed--the activation. If I wait for a couple of hours, it'll go up.
I was able to go home, nothing was up. I waited a couple more hours, there was still nothing. I graced myself by watching a DVD off our new DVD player but the selfish people downstairs snatched it away from me while I was trying to lie down a while to watch Jumong. So I got furious...
Why can't they understand that it was my weekend? They were literally robbing me off of my weekend. So I busied myself with the laundry (I haven't slept yet that time since coming from work due to the stressful thinking of when's my salary coming in) finished it and saw that they are still oggling on the TV. Where's my weekend!!!
Then, my colleague, who got his ATM also informed me that his account was enabled the moment he got it out of the damned plastic card!
This weekend is so stupid!!! It's now Friday and my account is still not active! It's 7 o clock in the evening and the temperature is still 33 degrees. There's no food in the house, I have no money and my weekend is melting away in front of me! Why did this happen to me! CURSES!!!!!!!!!!

Is it just me, or is it hell week for all students out there? (The two weeks that will follow will also be hell weeks 0.0) Crap. It's been a really long time since I've touched my drafting pens and deadly stuff. Being an upper-classman, (tama ba? sempai nalang para walang hassle hehe) a student is allowed to submit computer-generated outputs. But when exam time comes, we get back to being primitive draftsmen. THE HORROR!

@bakashijinsan- take it easy bakashijinsan. i know that it can get really crappy at times, specially when you're counting on money to come in and it doesnt. just do what you do tor relax. try going to the bank, and tell them that your account/card is fux0rz3d, give them your details and they'll do what they can to take care of the situation.

It's no problem. We all have views in life. I have been a son to a 100% Ilokana so I was raised to cringe because hunger at school. I was taught that money is not to be spent luxuriously. That money is earned the hard way. Kaya I'm pissed off because I have to ask for that hard earned money from them again at this age.
I think I inherited that from my mom because I would rather walk from EDSA up until Buendia just to save that Php 7.00 fare. Or not eat anything for the whole day to save up money. Or feel guilty whenever I'm trying to buy something for myself.

AND. I checked a little more, may full v22 na pala in english sa torrents! but huway? amidst all these piling schoolwork! BUT! baboysai does not fret over schoolwork. For 4 years I have survived entertaining distractions first before getting all warmed up for the big stuff.

^ i know the feeling of wanting to be 100% independent and not being able to do so, but trust me. it's better off to ask your mom for money to survive than live miserably by yourself, after all she is your mother. i've been in the same situation before but i was too hard headed to accept money from my parents...so i ended up going hungry through the entire of october last year

- i dont know if ud care to know this. but, its common sense that when you minimize a program it lowers down the cpu usage significantly. well, with firefox is doesnt. it eats up 72K of cpu usage, maximized or minimized. which kinda sucks because when you restore it from being minimized it slows down to a drag and you may see 1 or 2 (Not Responding) crap out of it. now, fret not! here's the solution:
1. Type in about:config at the address/localtion bar
2. Right-click anywhere on the list and select New->Boolean
3. Type config.trim_on_minimize for the Preference Name
4. Choose True for the Value
5. Restart/Relaunch Firefox afterwards
trust me, it works! my cpu usage was trimmed down to 1-2K when firefox is minimized.

I'm really not trying to be 100% independent. What I wanted to be is to at least be a part of the financial group. And me asking for money is certainly not being in the circle.
