I get pissed off aometimes when my classmates would play MTG at school then would ask me if I played it. I would reply yes then they wold ask when, I would say "Nung lumabas yung Unlimited". Then they would all go, "WHAT!?"

God, I feel so old!

@BSS- lol oo ako din nung i started in mirrodin... i keep on skipping sets kase... personally i like the old cards better... stronger cards, higher manacosts- the games were a lot more interesting.

yeah! insanely strong cards like Time Walk, Balance, Wheel of fortune, Black Lotus.

I remember seeing a Black Lotus in Greenhills back then. Potsa, 5k! And when was that? 1995!

BTW, nakakaliang pages na ba tayo? I read Ayah's post a while ago saying that we can change the number of post displays in our CP's. I've gotten to 39 pages so far.

- not in iloilo dude. kahit ice age or unlimited, basta type1 ung humble beginnings mo eh ull be revered by mtg players. we appreciate and idolize those kind of players.

- mirrodin... mhen i love that set. affinity really got it going. what do you think about the urza set aka sleeper set?
- those are the power 9. include yawgmoth and library of alexandria. really bomber cards. its make or break cards for you. you play it incorrectly, you lose.
- i remember a friend who used a Blacker Lotus (i think) during a tourney, finals. and he had the original. mhen, he played the card in an untimely manner, he lost the game, and the card. poor guy.

@BSS- BL costs sthousands of dollars now! yeah, cards like sleeper agent, gerrard, phage, akorma, kahmal, aladdins ring, counterspell, crop rotation...ahh...those were the days...

really? That's why I'm keeping my cards here for collector's item purposes.
My classmate once was buying my Birds of Paradise (revised edition) for like 400 pesos. I thought, a few more years of waiting wouldn't hurt me. *evil grin*

Yep! And erratas were rampant back then. So was bans and restrictions. I mean, who would have thought that Dark Ritual is now band, as well as Hypnotci Scepter and hymn to Tourach.

Aaaah~ The standard Discarder deck. mind Twist, Hymn to Tourach, Hypnotic scepter and Mindstab Thrull. then bring down 4 racks=dead player. Not unless they have howling mines

I think that one's from Beta. it has a Black border.
Aaah~ How I wish I had a set of Beta lands now. *drool*

RE; NBA CARDS

Yeah it was a hot topic before but MTG took it's throne for numerous reasons and one of them is MTG's not made to be stared at for the whole day.

- yay!! i remeber when i started rampant ung mga phyrexians. i dont really know the details of the sets, i just play what i get. hell, hindi nga ako familiar sa mga symbol dun sa card. lol

- pariah is just kickass. imperials too were great. the knights were just the kickers. when i started i got addicted to weenie greens that it took us almost an hour to end the game because of wellwisher. lol do you know that discarder deck that it'll mana burn you equal to the number of cards in your graveyard? i thot that was cool tho.

Yeah! People who think that cards are demonic ought to open up their mind a bit more. I mean, there are other vices there that are more condoning. Why not attack that? Sheeesh!

I never knew that there was a card like that? what expansion was that? i'm a huge fan of Discarder decks. I dunno. Probably because it was the only deck that i was able to complete when I was in Elementary school. Tapos magiging TYPE 1 lang! AMPNESS!

Well, actually, no. The first one released was Alpha, which was white bordered, then beta which was Black bordered then Unimited and revised which were white bordered then all of the next expansions were Black bordered (except the 4th, 5th, 6th eds)
