Hey anybody knows a very good movie? Story wise? It could also be good graphic wise but with a story in it. Non-hollywood movies are most welcome.

kumusta na everyone, sobrang busy sa escuela, but I'm pretty much done now, just one more term paper and I'm on break. It feels so good.

well, it's probably not the suggestion you're looking for, but I've been dying to see the movie "Knocked up"....I guess because I liked 40 year old Virgin so much and so naturally I have high expectations for it....and plus I just need something light, warm and funny at the moment.


Unless it's Rise of the Silver Surfer, I want to see that just for the CG effects, same with Transformers.

btw, yoniekai, I bet you saw that monstrous game 5 performance by Lebron! sige, I might discuss it on the sports thread na lang, if I feel like it.

I'm starving, I haven't eaten all day and it's already 8 pm.

i might be hallucinating, but i saw lebron score 29 out of the last 30 points of cleveland. and 25 points straight. in 2 OTs. i think that would just be utterly impossible for a 22 year old that even MJ's throne would be shaken this much so i drank water and calmed myself

@movies: ive been dying to get my hands on this year's Cannes' movies. especially the ian curtis lifestory "Control", i love ian curtis damn damn i want to watch that movie! also "Once", a lovestory musical with a beautiful plot, ive been seeing that in rottentomatoes it's 90+ rating. knocked up too received 90+, that means it's really really really good.

i think im seeing things again. i thought i saw 22-yearold lebron bring the cleveland cavaliers to the nba finals, a team that hasnt won a championship in 40 years, a team dubbed one of the worst in history, and here they are in the finals thanks to some 22-year old genius prodigy. it's impossible isnt it?

I know...it took MJ at least 7 years to get to the Finals, but that was when he finally got Phil and Scottie on his team.

But this kid King James, he's done it in what, only 4 years (is it 4 or 5?)...and he did it without a Scottie.

I can't believe it myself. What's funny is, he's finally realizing his potential, and there's a lot more of it. He is finally showing his killer instinct, something that all the greats had, i.e. Byrd, Magic, MJ, Julius Earving, Wilt. LeBron is finally taking matters into his own hands, and taking buzzer beater shots, something he's been reluctant to do until now.

Wow, if a defensive minded Detroit couldn't stop James, it means he might do the same with the Spurs, who knows, I'm so excited.

Though, that pillow is rather freaky. I mean, obviously, those who've just watched Idle Hand would NOT want to sleep with it.

Ahhaha, I'd reccomend PotC but then most of you have seen it. I usually love fantasy-esque films, or sometimes even with a dark edge to it. Try Pan's Labryinth. It seems innocent at first, but seriously, I wouldn't let my cousins watch it.

The graphics scare the bloody fuck out of me. XD But wonderful vcast, and great costumes! Incredible storyline too.

And...hm. Tim Burton movies are always a good try Or any movie where Johnny Depp is a weirdo. Try the older ones. Sleepy Hollow, Ed Wood (*snorts* CROSSDRESSER) etc.

i thought pan's is a children's movie too. no way it is, could pass as PG-18. but i guess 13 will do. i love the faun. i love characters like that, weirdos, like edward scissorhands and jack sparrow... that's why depp is my fave actor

Those three could collaborate on a poop project and I'd watch it. Seriously.

And you're right. I retract my statement. PG-18 nga siguro. But it's innocent enough minus the violent scenes and...erm. Scary faces. XD

What about the Paleman huh? I was MORTIFIED. I wanted to cover my eyes, but I think I was busy trying not to cry at his face. XDDDDD

damn that scene really scared me! i hate it when movies do that... the paleman really looks horrifying, it looks like one of the worst things you could encounter in an alley. creeeeeeepy with the eyes in his hands... it's the same actor right? the faun and paleman. great acting

napadaan lang ako....btw = just saw the new mr.bean movie....and i gotta say....i'm not that impressed. i find his old TV material better than the movie; that and there were so many people talking while the movie was going on....
