i got one here playing with it. notice that im look at the rover. gotta get used to not looking at that thing when operating it. rover operations are considered "mission critical" so it should be very precise.

- nah, just surevillance and dispatch of explosives. you really cant use them for ground scouting because of their bulk. the army call them the "BIG GUNS" of the Bomb Squad. heh

yeah yeah i saw one of those in a newsweek article for the high tech war in iraq and afghanistan. theyre used for recon, but gradually more and more customizations are being put to these little buggers. bad boys 2 even featured these. man, anybody could put a toxic chemical in this things, march them off to a populated area, and hey im saying such scary stuff right now

- i saw one of those. they call 'em "rats". but they have a different build than those rovers. and yes, ants are used for recon, unlike the rovers. the ants are pretty much the same as the RC cars we have back home, except that thee have metallic exoskeleton. im not sure which one. titanium alloy? heh

- why, thanks mhen! those shot are from Sumilon Bluewaters. they're not mine. but we were one of the 1st 5 groups who got there before it was commercialized. we were escorted by marine authorities like most of the day. but the experience was something. that was around september of 2005 i think. you guys should try Sumilon. its worth it. i wish i still had that shot of the lagoon, reminds me a lot of The Notebook where there were lots of swans around. pretty mushy, huh!? heh

@ tarsier eyes
- you guys are mean. we got this helper way back 2001 and she had these big bulging eyes that she cant even close her eyes. i had a hard time sneaking out of the house at night because she sleeps at the living room sofa and you cant tell if she's sleeping or wide awake cuz it looks all the same to me
