lol i sympathize with you bb. my pc is in specs range, "normal specs" lang... yung laptop naman ni dad, way ahead of my unit. and way ahead in every specs. i dont even have a dvd drive, i have to transfer to the other unit from time to time to burn. and my drive is so tight right now, while his has 80gig free. and he rarely uses it. someday i'm nicking that baby and push it to it's limits. and why man, my monitor blinks from time to time too, and not just blink, a 5 minute blink with only half showing

im hooked on edonkey! this p2p has more variety than bittorrent, albeit a little more complicated to set up at first but when you get used to it you'd be easily hooked. read this guys: http://sharethefiles.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=69253 and try searching for files. most likely it has better results than torrent. files dont die on edonkey unlike in torrents where no seeds=death

ei yonie I tried emule and I have to say it's good stuff! Plus I learned how to do port forwarding on my router. It's much faster than my BT and it's not hogging my RAM!
I'm currently downloading a movie right now hehehe

maybe that's the reason why my BT download is slow. Maybe I need to forward a specific port...hmmmm

@bakashi: the ed2k network is great isnt it??? teh greatest thing is the variety of files, files stay as long as forever in ed2k. BT is just more popular. that's why most users, when they dload from BT, they share it on ed2k. and yeah, portforwarding is crucial in both p2ps, you HAVE to portforward. congrats freh ako nagbabrowse pa ako ng magandang download

And it has real time checking of the available sources unlike in some trackers where they post that the torrent has 100 seeds when it only has 5 10 seeds or less.

kaya naman pala yung ibang seeds, di maka connect sakin. I'll try that in my Azureus after my download in eMule. I still have 4 more seasons of Simpsons on queue sa torrent e and I have been downloading it for more than 3 months na (on and off naman kase).

@woody: setup static ip: try getting the DNS of smart, set up a static IP by finding the DHCP range (in the router page), reduce the end by one, and get the former end as your static IP. then input the DNS of smart. also the default gateway from cmd/ipconfig. then portforward the ports to the ip you just setup. something like that, dunno if it'll work for wireless internet

hi guys! i'm alive again.

tambay kasi ako sa religious discussion thread, namatayan kasi ako ng lolo (anak ng great-grandfather ko and hence, grand-uncle). ang nakaka-awa e hindi yung namatay, kundi yung mga namatayan.

lalo na yung tito ko. it's just a week since my grand-uncle died, nami-miss na niya. tuwing papasok siya sa trabaho naaalala niya.

well, death is a blessing (for me).

nakakatuwa pa nga yung kuwento ng buhay ng grand-uncle ko:

panganay siya sa 5 anak. namatay yung pangalawa, kaya 4 nalang sila. siya ang paboritong anak. malaki ang minana sa magulang, nakapangasawa pa ng intsik. 2 anak(na legal). nung burol nakita ko yung ibang anak sa labas (as in nasa labas ng funeraria paz). nag-marino, nakapaglikom ng malaking salapi, nagpatayo sila ng bahay sa mandaluyong at after many years nagkaroon ng away sila ng asawa niya. tumira ngayon siya sa isabela (sa compound ng mga pamangkin niya) na parang palaboy. 2 years ago nagkabati na sila, uwi siya sa mandaluyong. may sakit na pala, hindi pa rin nagrereklamo. ayun, nung sumakit ang dibdib (high blood siya) uminom ng alaxan(stroke tuloy). ayun putok ugat sa utak. dami tuloy intsik sa libing niya.

kelan ko lang nalaman na pamangkin pala niya (in-law)si enrico villanueva (who's that?!), tapos kumpare si alex dy (kapatid ni gov. dy ng isabela).
