It actually pained me watching the first episodes of that. Tch, shameful! The avalanche of still pictures! aaaaiiiiieeee~!

But that was what led me to the manga.

Dati kasi I hadn't read the manga and understood the story from the anime. So something kept me from clicking the stop button. But this time though, I don't think I can tolerate that kind of animation. it's horrible!

once i start something off in manga, i can't stand watching the anime...but it's never the same case from anime to manga.

though when it came to beck it felt REALLY awkward... i mean how am i supposed to appreciatea story about a band if i can't actually hear the music???

of course when it comes to delivering the plot the manga is better, anime exists only for people who are too lazy to buy manga.

what about beck? i found the anime more entertaining because i actually got to hear what they were doing. action scenes are also a lot more intense in anime than manga.

about the action scenes: i hate fight scenes getting dragged on and on and on.

anime has better action scenes sometimes. Like in RK. and for some battles in Naruto. Sometimes the fanservice is better too ^^

since when did a moment of pause become a couple of episode's worth of reminiscing?

everytime the hero/villain says something previously shown in the past episodes, we get flashbacks-- not just flashbacks, but full accounts of what has transpired. you may argue that it provides background material but, come on! do you really think that by just standing there remembering everything will fit in just a moment of time, which is sometimes a couple of hours' worth of memories?

for me, anime versions will be great if they stay true. and improve on it. great anime adaptations, like 10/10 adaptation rating, are death note, monster, beck, and the early episodes of bleach and naruto. the best adaptation talaga MONSTER

LOL best example is slam dunk! wow one shot actually consists of one episode. *shoots* *20 minute flashback* *scores* *ending theme* we used to joke that around all the time

typical DBZ action sequence: punch, talk, punch, talk, kick, talk, talk more, kick, talk, teleport, talk, kamehameha, talk, talk, kamehameha, talk, talk, punch, talk, travel, talk, punch, talk, kick, talk, silence......spirit bomb while talking, talk.....

Eva is one of those anime/manga that i'm torn with....i dunno if i like the anime or manga better...mainly because the anime came before the manga, and the manga has lots of philisophical talk that gets very long winded, and boring at times...but the anime has holes in the story...
