Wheeeew! Just finished repairing my PC from an assiduous malware! I'm never letting anybody put their USB's in my PC anymore!!

I think so. I was looking for answers in forums and I stumbled on that phrase--imgkulot. But mine says __vbs and __bat and autorun.inf. The problem with it is that it keeps on coming back even after "healing" it on AVG. had to get another cleaner to get rid of it.

I dunno. Mine just doesn't allow me to open my drives anywhere except from the drop down boxes in any folder.

speaking of viruses, my pc was infected too, all HDs. -_- you know the bbgong ones? The kulitut, simular to the imgkulot? When you can't open your HDs (or usb, etc)? It just annoys me to see that the recent viruses like these are all Pinoy-centric. I mean, look at their names!

hey babe, looks like the last guy who inserted his usb drive in your usb port has left some malware. don't worry i'm an it securty expert and i carry all my tools in my handy usb drive. if you allow me to have physical access to your pc and poke around your system, my arsenal can help you locate and exterminate all the bad things the previous guy left behind.

cleaning your system will take all night. can you prepare some dinner with red wine? is your pc in the bedroom? that'd be great since i can lie down while my tool does its job....

these viruses are from the same creator i believe. harmless but annoying as hell, cause its so persistent. the best way is to delete all related names with .vbs and .inf (e.g. test.vbs, test.inf, imgkulot.vbs, imgkulot.inf)

Not as harmless as a simple file. It wasn't even letting me open any of my drives! And yes, it's relentlessly coming back even after you simply delete it. nonetheless, i got rid of it!

I'd love to but I have several reasons why I can't use it:

1. I don't know how to use it
2. I don't own our PC
3. I heard it was a hassle just to install a program?
4. Don't have the time yet

Speaking of PCs (btw, I kicked the virus in the balls last night, piece of cake), some Mac team went to the school to do their product demos.

Everything was quite impressive, from their desktop sharing to their chatting system etc. But at the back of my mind I still didn't want it. Blame Maddox and his propaganda against Mac.

but if you're an editor, the Mac is the machine for you. graphics, audio, video, 3d, Mac owns the editing world, and it looks better than windows naman eh. final cut pro is the most widely used video editor by hollywood movies.

and lol at that propaganda stuff, not only Macs but linux too, everybody hates windows. see TM, Maddox says you should stfu! hahaha

what maddox says about someone who has mac and can't shut their mouths about how good it is is soooo very true. My boss is like always parading his MAC in front of our faces saying it's better and doesn't crash yadayada. Yeah right! it doesn't but I'm not spending almost a hundred thousand pesos just so that I can open my computer 24/7 without the worry of it blowing in the middle of the night while i'm sleeping! Heck i'm not doing that to my PC not because of the worry of it blowing up but the worry of the electric bill holding me by the neck.

Don't get me wrong. I don't hate MAC. I HATE MY (EX) BOSS!!!

eto na lng, if ur going to expose ur pc o the net or insert some untrusted usb, better do it in linux. if ur goin g to do it on windows, be sure to have a full security suite running kahit na pirated.... but that takes more than half of a pc's resources, ergo, use linux...

anyways there are live cd's and live flash distros available to "ease" the transition....

btw, i'm on xp right now, for regular security and performance maintenance and tune-up....

ps nobody got my usb drive innuendo....
