Ok so we've all been wondering what the heck Ichigo's true power is. Well I think Kubo has basically already told us.
Yes that's right. It's the return of THE FINAL GETSUGA TENSHOU. Except this time it won't disappear.
But there's more.
The Final Getsuga Tenshou is when Ichigo becomes Getsuga itself. The strange thing about this was that the Getsuga Tenshou just seemed like it was the name of a move. But in actuality, Getsuga is and was a PERSON.
At some point in the story there was a man (not a human though) who's name was Getsuga.
But who IS Getsuga?
When Ichigo becomes Getsuga his hair becomes really long.
When Ichigo's inner hollow, The True Zangetsu was at his strongest he had really long hair.
The Hollow White also had really long hair.
This may sound trivial but I don't think that was coincidence.
I think it would be fair to say that Ichigo's Inner Hollow who's real name is Zangetsu= The Hollow White.
The Hollow White used to be a Shinigami.
What was that Shinigami's name?
Well I think we have already been told it. His name is Zangetsu. In other words.
The Hollow White was The Soul Reaper Zangetsu.
But isn't Zangetsu a Zanpaktou spirit. He is now. But I think originally he was a Soul Reaper.
In fact ALL Zanpaktou are the spiritual manifestation of dead Soul Reapers.
So when Ichigo talks to Zangetsu he's not talking to something that only exists in his mind.
He is talking to a person, a soul reaper who actually existed before.
This is why Zangetsu can actually physically manifest himself.
Since Isshin is Ichigo's Soul Reaper father and he was a key member of the Shiba Clan
I think it is highly likely that Zangetsu is the father of the Shiba Clan.
Now who is Getsuga?
Getsuga is the ancestor of Zangetsu. Or more precisely Zangetsu is the direct descendant of Getsuga.
Now Ichigo has two basic halves.
He is half Soul Reaper and half Quincy.
We know that Yhwach is the Father of all Quincy.
So wouldn't it make sense if there was a Father of all Soul Reapers?
Yes that's right. Getsuga is the Father of All Soul Reapers.
Ever wondered why Urahara and Isshin could use Getsuga Tenshou?
Because it is a lesser variant of Mugetsu. Getsuga's signature move.
Mugetsu is just pure Spiritual Pressure because Getsuga is just pure Spiritual Power.
So if Getsuga is the Father of All Soul Reapers and Yhwach is the father of all Quincy...
You guessed it Getsuga and Yhwach were brothers. The two sons of the Soul King.
And since Ichigo has both of their powers...
