Feedback Problems with the site?

Hi, when I access MH with firefox, the ads pictures overlap the scroll down menus, it looks like the ads are in front of the scroll down menus (navigation bar). This was already happening with the old site version.

I haven't looked through the whole thread and I'm not sure if this is mentioned but:

I'm using IE7 on Windows XP SP3 and when I rollover the 'My Actions, My Forums, My Favourites' option while I'm on the front page, the menu things appear behind the News component. It seems to work ok on other pages though.

Correction: It's happening on the other pages too, like this thread and the Manga section.
Correction 2: It only happens in the Manga section after the page refreshes to say you've done/updated something. This seemed to be fixed straight after my edit.

I'm trying to submit a new series, but when I click Submit I get a blac page saying:

Internal Server Error (500)

Either the website is way overloaded, or the geniuses who created this website broke something!
Please try to reload the page again in a few minutes!

It appeared on the series list and then I tried to upload a RAW. Then I got the same error. I'll go check if it showed up somewhere.

Can you try it again as I am unable to reproduce your error. Please note that the server has been up and down a few times during the course of the day so the error could have been intermitent. Please try again!

Yep, that's the one. The manga appeared in the series list, but the RAW I tried to upload didn't show up here: http://mangahelpers.com/manga/details/gingadensetsuweed/raws/

Hmmm, I just tried to upload a random raw under the name of ginga densetsu weed to see if it works... for me, I had no problems... can you upload the raw you wanted to upload to any filehoster and link me to it, so that I can try and see if I can reproduce the error with the same file?

Hmm...are you guys still messing around with permissions of the forums? Cause I can't view my profile cause it says I'm not registered (but I'm logged in) and I can't post in the downloads archive new Edited Mangas section nor at the latest magazine raws section (and probably anywhere else in the forums except here, no time to check)

I should be having permission to post new threads, post replies, post attachments, edit my posts for those right? Also, I also have the "Raw Hunter" user group permission for the Latest Magazine/Tankoubon Raws section since I'm posting WSM raws by myself, don't I...?

I can't say thanks for the new Edited Manga releases and the like =( Or is there something I need to do on my end? Help?

Dear Rena-chan,

I'd like to redirect your attention to the Forum level above the Download Archive.

The new Download section provides access for you to post raws and Edited Mangas, the Translator Section provides space for Translations to be found.

EDIT: Also, when I try to download a file that is hosted at MH, it always brings me to a 403 Error - Forbidden. Is there a problem with the download?

as for the 403 errors... that's because there were no files uploaded and we missed (*shoots self*) to implement a check for that >.>; It's gonna be fixed soon.

Ahh...I see. XD No files uploaded (those are from the beta testing?)

Ahh, no. I think I might have gotten you confused. I was just clarifying that all new translations, Edited Mangas and raws are all to be submitted into the new sections? The forum threads are all now archives and will no longer allow new stuff to be posted?

yepp, the forums is all archives now -- everything goes into the new sections.

and nope, they aren't from beta-testing >.>; it is an honestly missed bug... how we overlooked that, I don't know. It's moved onto our to-do list anyway ^^;
And we're gonna try to correct as many of those as we can with ddl/external links ^^;

I am using Firefox 3.0.4

With the My Favourites function i manage to get the list of favourites added, but the amount of favourites you can access easily via this function is limited since as soon as the list get to the bottom of the window the list disappears and i cannot find any scroll function. I can move the page down so that the word favourites is right at the top of the window and this allows for more names to be seen and accessed but without a scroll function some titles cannot be accessed in this way.

Is a scroll function going to be added? Am i doing something wrong, for instance should i limit the manga i put as favourite to a certain level, 10, 20 or 30 say?

I looked in my profile to see if there was a page i could access with all the manga i have put as favourites listed but i could not find anything, the only things that i could find listed was for subscriptions to forums. Will a favourites page be added to the profile section so that at a glance all the favourite manga can be seen?

I think I won't upload any raws. I just realised that that's not the way to get a translator for my project. :'D

But now I'm also incapable viewing my own profile: This user has not registered and therefore does not have a profile to view.

Im having problems when it finish loading a page sometimes all the ppl's post, avatars goes blank and all i can see are the frames of the page. Is it posible that may b cause the IE version or some other aplication problem like java.

I mentioned about concerns about the favourites list and the fact that if the list was long and went below the window it seems to disappear (one the mouse pointer goes beyond the window).

Today i have found that if you use a combination of the mouse and down arrow key on the keyboard all of the list can be accessed. Use the mouse pointer to open the favourites list and keeping the mouse pointer over the titles on the list then you can move over to using the down arrow to move further down the list (to titles now shown in the screen)

this is a rather laborious way to get down the full list and the alternative is of course to go to the downloads section and find the manga view the pull down list there. It would be nice in the future if a long list could be accessed using the mouse button but for now it is an alternative to going to the download section to find a specific manga you have in your favourites list.

I think that if you have less than about 20 titles in the list all of them should be accessible by the mouse since they should be viewable on the screen.

I hope that makes sense.

The scroll down on my screen for forums, website and image gallery get overlapped by the ads. It doesn't happen when i'm on the front screen or the manga database, but it does most everywhere else. Why is this happening and thanks in advance!

I can't view any of the posts and I can only see the frame of the boards. I can see posts on some of the threads, but only a few. Is it because I have IE, because on another computer with Firefox, it works fine. Please help!

Edit: I can see my post, but nobody elses! And when I go to edit my post, I can see other posts, but when I save my edit, they're gone again.

If you're using IE6 -> we don't support it any longer
If you're using IE7 -> in rare cases it seems to bug and do what you describe >.< We're looking into it, but I'd really recommend you to use Firefox or Opera to view this site. Not to mention that you'll benefit from it almost in every regard.

I actually do not consider this a problem and I am sure I am posting this in the right place but I cannot seem to find a more appropriate thread. anyway, what I need is a little help, call it a users guide to some new features like how to add manga to my favorites and how to create reading list.
And as always, I love the work you are doing.
