Jump Survival Race - as expected (?)
Rankings of new comers both dropped like a stone once the promotion period is up!
Zoo falls straight into bottom 3 of the seventh week (fastest drop times possible) and SWOT to fourth bottom on the 8th week, boucing Psyren out of the bottom slots, plus Psyren gets a colour push of Issue 40!

Moving this here since it will lead to off topic discussion. I haven't been following psyren in the ToC very hard. I do remember that it had a top 5 spot more than once but not more than ten times either. It has started as a bottom series and it managed to be a middle/sub top runner. Lately it has been doing bad. Imo a justified reflection of psyren's mess ^^

I do hope when they return to the present the story switches to Shiner and what his life's like before getting recruited. When Amamiya said Shiner wasn't a warrior and the fact that his ability is teleport made me think he was coward in the past and might have been bullied.

Since Mithra's plans will be revealed soon if not this week, which is the last important mystery, I hope the story transitions into a character-driven battle manga.

One of the things I'm impressed with Psyren is the sheer versatility the author has with some of the characters' abilities. Every character is a one-trick pony, but what some of these characters can do with that trick is astounding. Take Melchsee's Door itself as an example. Even before the Nova power-up, Ageha could attack long-distance via Melchsee's Lance, attack short-distance via Melchsee's Disc, or go with an AoE attack via Melchsee's Vortex. And these attacks can be used defensively at the same time.

Hmm, the odd thing is that the page has already been deleted from Amazon It was there previously and you can still see it in Google's cache. So, Amazon probably messed up and either there is no such thing (someone did it as a prank maybe) or they put it up too early (there could be an announcement in the next issue of Jump, or something).

volume 15 should be out february fourth according to amazon japan. alltogether I think it will be packed into 16 volumes

Volumes 15 and 16 are coming out in February and March respectively, this was announced with the final chapter iirc

Each volume normally has 8 chapters but I think they'll need to put 9 in some volumes to fit 145 chapters into 16 volumes...

There will be more illustrations and pin-up spread in this one as well. Can't make out the last line, but I think it says "To be continued in Psyren".

Great news!

If by "last line" you mean the "もちろんーーー", then it says "Of course, Iwashiro-sensei will be...." My brain fails me at 2am, and I can't think of what kanji that blur is (the second is 影?), but I'm pretty sure this is saying that Iwashiro-sensei is backing the novel/approving the stories (sort of like how Oda-sensei wrote the story for One Piece's Strong World movie).

Oh and the title is "PSYREN another call 2: The future is in your hands"

Sweet!! I really hope that Viz will release the novels over here along with the manga volumes. Speaking of which, I wonder what's going on with that?

They currently don't have a release date listed for Volume 1 on their site, and since it's running in the magazine there shouldn't be any issues in terms of a release. Maybe their delaying it to promote the volume releases being uncut or something? I've noticed some the dialog seems a bit toned down from what I read in the fan translations(noticeably the "virgin" joke in chapter 1 was absent). Then again fan translations aren't always that accurate so I can't say for sure...
