Q: What is the species of Mr. Alligator! I want to have one!

A: Rak is a species called Wraithraiser. ^^ The Wraithraiser that follows Rak’s name when he presents himself is actually the name of the species ^^

Between Koon and Rak, Rak is stronger in terms of physical strength but if they have a fight, Koon will win. He said that it does not make sense to compare someone from 10 houses to someone who is not in the first place (..)

Q: Is Rak a weakling?

A: His future positions is a Spear Bearer. He is not a Shinsoo user, but is capable of moving very fast in Shinsoo. In terms of physical abilities, he is on stronger side even among regulars. Once he learns how to use Shinsoo, he might become strong enough to fight with Laure.

Thanks for this post that just show that people who think rak will be overpowered because of his rock element are delusional, So that means when rak fought inieta he was weaker than laure and now that he has his rock element he can fight on par with laure.

The comparison with Laure was made about their s1 versions if I'm not wrong.

In the very first episode of Tower of God , It says "What do you desire ? Money and Wealth ?(then shows a fodder girl drooling at some coins) | Honor and Pride?(then shows Hatsu) | Authority and Power?(then shows A.A.) | Revenge?( then shows Anak) | Or something that transcends all of them ?(then shows Rak)"

It has alwas got me wondered what will it be that Rak seeks . To aim a goal that transcends all of the previously mentioned goals must require an insane amount of strength if that is -of course- the goal of one of the MC . While It is arguable where Rak stands in comparison to Laure but He will most probably stand at the top along with Great Warriors towards the end of the series in my opinion .

Data Edwan Said The Giant could fight one of 13 GWs on equal grounds, but then It split in 5 pieces. I assume that's the opposite of what White is, therefore each piece should have a cap way lower than that. And Rak is surely one of these pieces, albeit the main one.

If however Rak ends up gathering other Ancient pieces and completes the set, he should have a similar potential as a Young FH, meaning that achievements such as Adori's feat should be accessible to him.

Rak is not one of the 5 main pieces, he is the DD of the stone natives one.
He could fight one of the GW while they were climbing, that has nothing to do with current FH levels.

The Stone 1/5 of the Giant should be 1/5 of a FH. It should be equal to a DD or Branch Head. Rak's current potential should be around Aguero's tier, and If he gets other "pieces" of the former "whole", he should get increasingly near Bam's lvl, which is where Adori's tier is, sort of.

Bam, Adori and the 13GW I assume belong to their own tier, even If Bam is still a Noob in It and the others are at their level cap. So a Full fledged Rak should be near Adori's level too. Not himself as he is, not If he trains a lot, but If he collects the other fragments of the former Native One tho, its a different story .

The Stone 1/5 of the Giant should be 1/5 of a FH.
The giant divided himself into 5 parts to have offspring, these 5 parts were called "native ones" and these native ones direct descendants were the ones who traveled with Jahads and the 10 GWs and were noted to be "super strong" by Edahn.
In other words : the giant > a native one > native one's DD ~ Jahad ~ FH.
So, in theory Rak should've the potential to be on par with a FH in the future, still he was strangely extremely weak for his standing as noted by Edahn.

That's not quite what eduan said iirc. He said something along the lines of the giant being very strong simply. We also have no context regarding when this happened. As in, was it during their climb? After it? At what stage of their climb? Was it before the adventures became as strong as they would be as family heads?

Yes, he says they were super strong, he acknowledges their strength. I suppose that means they belong in a tier where their Power matters for the FHs, even because Jahad tried to get rid of them, and that is for a reason.

But we still don't have context regarding this. Them being THAT powerful is certainly a possibility but not the only one. The empire is constantly at work to suppress new powers from arising... This is partly why princesses are forbidden from having children and why the floor of tests is sort of rigged. It's not only FH class power that they try to suppress, they suppress even people who might pose a threat to their families when given the chance.

To be whole again, transcends the desires of avarice, power, revenge or fortune.

No one knows for sure Rak’s position on the “Native one” totem pole. It can be said with some certainty he is one of others who are equally incomplete. How one (Rak) accumulates these disparate pieces into a whole remains to be seen. Though there have been insinuations to a certain familiarity Rak possesses for “ancient” powers/weapons (Evk, Khel, ancient spear) by the same token it will be interesting to see Rak and Taro Yok meet. Do they fusion dance? Does one absorb the other like cell did the androids? Or something totally different? A white like merging? Either way Rak is set to be far more powerful than he currently is. Furthermore his desire to be “strong” may actually be a desire to be whole. This in my opinion is a pure desire....

I'm curious if every one of the wrathraisers to include Taro have ancient powers, or if that's something only a few, possibly rare, are able to obtain.

Kind of like how the president of the wall talked about he was from the peach kingdom but didn't get the powers Dowon did. Obviously it runs strongly in certain bloodlines, can skip entire segments of the 'race', might skip generations, etc.

Taro was strong enough to be in Hidden Garden, but not strong enough to survive untouched. So I doubt he's operating at full-native levels.

If its similar to how the 10 families work then odds are that not everyone in a population of ancients/natives/wraithraisers would have said powers...

Taro Yok is not a Wrathraiser. They are both likely descendants of Native One's pieces, and Wrathraiser is the Rock Native type. Yok might be of another element affinity, since each of Giant's pieces formed its own Race.

Well, its his name (Taro) and surname (Yok), or the other way around. There's another important detail as well: Rak is actually huge, and only look this much like Taro because he was shrinked. Maybe Taro's real size is this. Maybe its because I'm a biologist, but its striking to me How they are based on different animals altoghether and shouldn't be put into a same species by standard. I think they have a distant relative yes, but as Far back as the original giant. The similarity we see in them might be more illusory and intentional by SIU than something we would promptly notice.

Well, I'll give you that if Rak is a Wraithraiser because of his name that would make Taro 'a York'. That does make sense.

I'm just not convinced how the powers are disseminated. Taro and Rak are clearly very closely related short of their skin types.

I think their actual similarity is the overall bone structure, because even their heights might not be the same. I agree its a big deal, meaning I totally agree they are related somehow. I Just don't think they are that close.
