Well, I guess we can forget how Ban was supposed to be faster than Meliodas. See the speed Meliodas has now ?
Makes no sense whatsoever how Ban was able to draw with him

In defense of Ban, that last speed burst is clearly from Meliodas using his wings in combat. You even see the two stretching dark shadows left and right of him as he bursts out off that smoke and debris cloud.

Their difference in movement speed (not reaction speed) was clearly seen in the fights against Galan. Meliodas was far too fast for Galan to follow, and Galan was far too fast for Ban to follow (although Galan appeared to have inferior reflexes to Mel, as well; Ban was also far superior in reflex speed after using Hunter Fest).

That is not what is happening though. The issue is the arm-wrestling where on occasions ban reacts slightly faster than meliodas and beats him before mel is able to put any strength in.

1. Escanor has nothing to do with what I said. He, glox, and dolor fought the demon king together. That is what was said. I don't know how you even brought Escanor into it.

2. I didn't say he would win. I said he wasn't scared of him. The kind of fear he felt against Escanor that led him to suicide is what I would expect him to feel from meliodas if he was really "almighty" like your saying. Instead of immediately jumping at the chance to fight him.

What does he have to in his prime form to prove he's stronger than Escanor?

How about actually getting some feats, and doing something remotely comparable to Escanor for starters? Current Mel's feats don't even stack up to the 50k version of Escanor. Heck even the 28k version nearly oneshotting them both was more impressive then Mel entire fight with them. Not to mention that he can't even lift the axe.

You saying Prime Mel is stronger than noon Escanor is about as factually backed up as the entire fanbase was thinking that noon Escanor= estarossa, and he got stomped 30+ minutes away from that time.

It's just baseless fan hype.

If you want to take Nakaba's words seriously can you actually read the manga in its designated form?

The Commandments were terrified of Meliodas and he goddesses are still worried about him 3000 years later. There is no evidence that Escanor is stronger than Prime Mel. We haven't seen the guy. All we know is that he was feared and up next to become Demon King.

And whether or not Mel's fight was more impressive is up for interpretation. They did heal and then get beat again. And Escanor failed to finish the job. Meliodas would have killed both while holding back.

Maybe purgatory is just the next place after the capital of the dead, which is like a limbo of some sort.
So in conclusion all those who die must pass through purgatory, not just Mel. The demon king is there too so he must be dead.The demon king is not cursed as far as we know, so is Elaine and basically all the souls who got summoned by Mera (chapter 141).

1. I thought you were referring to the battle that ended the tournament and where did you get that information from? Who said anything about Mel needing Dolor and Gloxinia, he was able to fight both of them at once while holding back slightly a couple chapters ago

How in the world are you supposed to compare a situation that one character was never even born in? Not only do you not know the Goddess clan's power levels, but also prime Meliodas has no feats. If Escanor was alive back then, I'm sure the goddess clan would fear him too if he was evil, but he's not. Escanor has a clean record, Meliodas does not, that's why the goddesses are still a bit wary of him. And lastly durning the vampires of Edienberg arc, when a dawn Escanor let lose a bit of his powers, it was Meliodas that looked disturbed at the damage that Escanor could unleash. Not to mention Escanor had a wider attack range than Meliodas's crater left. That right there is proof that un nerfed Meliodas is wary of early morning Escanor. Prime Meliodas would require a 10 fold increase just to match Escanor's raw power. if Meliodas' 32,500 self can't match Escanor's early morning power, then I can't see prime Meliodas standing against Escanor, let alone his noon form. Derdierre and Monspiet themselves couldnt believe that their is a monstrous entity in the human race. Although I have to disagree on how you see the prime Meliodas. We are talking about the Demon King here. This entity is not only an elite demon but the cream of the crop. If you come to think of it, even these 10 commandments fight together they wouldnt stand a chance against the demon king in full strength. Now in Meliodas's prime case, he was considered at demon kings level. Everyone feared him and respect his OP'ness. That is why I think Escanor and Meliodas prime OP'ness are pretty much in the same scale.

Escanor power has not been revealed fully. After his battle against the troll queen, he was seen holding a spear-like weapon instead of rhitta. I believe he can draw out his peak power from that weapon since rhitta can't be controlled at noon. So it wouldn't be wise to compare escanor and prime meliodas since ns hasn't reveal both of their full powers yet. By the way it looks absurd for meliodas to get back his prime form since he has to embrace the darkness and kill his emotions if he wants those powers back. Only the demon king is capable of granting him those powers. So it's either he becomes what he was 3000+ years ago, or come back slightly stronger..

Point is they fought together during the war, not once was it stated that Meliodas NEEDED Gloxinia and Dolor

They were all on the same side because they allied themselves with the Goddess Clan

Nothing is supposed to be greater,certainly not the darkness,since,what the sun does is,eliminate darkness. .escanor can still be defeated,but no one who isn't a special unnatural occurrence should be able to have more power than him.
