Recently we discovered that Baam possesses some form of immunity to spells in the Tower. While Spells are still more of a new concept to us readers, it's known that they are extremely powerful in any form. So how and why is Baam immune?
I believe that this may be because Baam was resurrected from the dead as an infant with an even more powerful spell than any that is likely to be cast. After Zahard killed the Infant Baam, he was brought back to life by.... someone, or something. The high tier spell needed to make that happen likely nullifies any spell that tries to disrupt it. What are your thoughts?
