It's good in pie, or just sprinkle some salt on it. Eat it like celery.

Well I never ate rhubar pie but it would sound dumb if I wouldn't like that. Need to try that out for sure. Pie is so greeaaaatttt... Rhubarb with salt? Good old salt, reminds me of sprinkling some salt on a tomato (also very good)

To answer your questions:
I live in vlaams-brabant - the outskirts near aarchot, scherpenheuvel-zichem and diest. Second place: Leuven, prolly more known and I think I don't have to explain that

I started watching anime when I was very young.
TF1 - french television and its great show club dorothé - dragonball (z), nicky larson, saint seiya, kinnikuman, ken le survivant and others . I think the age should have been: 7-12 years. I couldn't understand anything but the anime series were impressive enough

I started reading manga later, at the age of 19 years. I studied in brussels there and fate decided that I met superdragontoys (great manga/anime store in brussels): started with the series - naruto, dragonball, kenshin, shaman king. I found mangahelpers later on and manga world discovered me

so what about you (same questions) and why do you like manga itself

As for how it all started for me:

Got into anime and the likes from club dorothé, same as you, and immediatly fell in love with the anime they were showing (DBZ, the soccor one which I forgot name of and more). Think if I remember correct that I was around 7 years old back then. Few years later when I got into sports (soccor, basketball & Muay Thai) I kinda lost my interest in watching club dorothé and anime. Later at age 14 when I went to a trance party in Axion Geel , faith struck again , they had a HUUUGE tv screen set up near the stage where they were showing Fist Of the Northstar the movie on, I was so hooked to it that I stopped dancing and watched it till the end. After that party I started looking for more anime, luckely my friend had some anime vhs that he did lend to me (Urotsukidoji, Devil Man). Weird ones though :P but after seeing those I started looking for more and ended up buying alot of DVD's (Kenshin <o/, Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040, Golden Boy and more). From there on I was addicted and ended up spending ALOT of my free time on anime.

As for when I started reading manga, this was alot later. I never realy liked reading much so manga never realy appealed to me. When naruto fillers started I was so fed up with them that I couldn't wait anymore and decided to read / follow the manga. Same for Bleach when their fillers started and claymore manga since I truely loved the anime and wanted to know what happens after where the anime ended (first season).
So far these 3 are the only mangas I read, though I'm always open for good suggestions (no miyavi, not yaoi related mangas, begone!)

To end my post and a comment on your favorite veggie: omg ! if there is one thing (prefer to call it a thing) that I truely dislike, hate eating ,then it sure is belgium endive (witloof) Never realy liked it , my mom used to cook it alot when I was young and remember me having to sit for 3 hours at the table till I finished eating those damned endives, which I didn't want to. Horrible things !
