How do you like Psyren's progress so far? May be its me but I think the excitement and the pace it had, had been lacking over like last 20+ chapters. And there was few where Grana and Amagi fought. Wel, what i am trying to say, the series looked more promising in the beginning.

Well I can understand what you are saying. Psyren is getting more focused on its story. We can't neglect the fight between miroku and grana which was really awesome imo... But what I like in psyren is that fights don't take too long (miroku vs grana, kagetora vs junas/caprico and more). There's always an outcome, an important event, an explanation within 5 chapters (in contrast to other shounen where a fight with only action sequences can take +20 chapters). Imo this can be pretty boring to a lot of people, but let it be the strongest characteristic of the manga Psyren I like a lot

I like a slower pace if the story doesn't show a lot of holes. It doesn't have to be continuously none-stop action. I think we're having important chapters at this moment because the present events can yet again change the future.

And let's wait till asaga and oboro are coming back

The thing I regret the most is that Kabuto is continuously ignored. Give him credits, give him some value.

Bah, unfortunately Danchou has been gone for quite a while, I can't believe I am admitting this but I kinda miss having Danchou around, sure he has a gift at driving people mad but I sort of look up to him as the ultimate otaku. But on a bit more serious manner next time you see him on irc tell him to get his ass back online, add a few more insults at this or he won't believe it's really me who said it , I have a no compliment policy, I hardly say a good word per year and only towards women that I don't know personally cause experience shows they are offended easily, can't make a single joke and they get furious sheesh, I have even been calling my best friend who I know for 9 years asshole and bastard more frequently than calling him by his name and he never got offended why are women who know I am like that with everyone get offended when I make one little joke about them...

1. RahXephon: I had cds from a mate for 1 year or longer. I never managed to watch it. Is it good? Because maybe it's worth to try it out but :
a. it was told to me that the story is difficult and complex
b. I am behind with other anime (FMA, Darker than Black)
-> but mecha is itching me lately (mangawise, I have always liked mecha anime): I bought the first volume of kurogane no linebarrel and I think I am going to buy break blade too

2. X: yes I have watched that one, it's been a while and I can vaguely remember things, as I have forgotten some things too. I liked it mainly because of Kamui's decision who would decide the fate of the planet and his best friend's (or was it a brother) role yeah I know, becoming philosophical is quite boring

I heard so much about RahXephon before I watched it. Honestly, I think it was not as great as the reviews suggested. As you said, the story was complex sometimes and at some parts, the story wasn't going along too much. It felt something was missing. You can watch it, if you want but there are plenty of decent animes out there, I hope. You won't miss much.

I too like how X ended. It was quite different. Not the same old forumla, good guy gets beaten, stands up in the end for some reason and come out victorious. One thing I must say, I really wished the Kamui (the good one) had his full-powers awakened. It would have been a great duel .

So you like Mecha animes, hmmm have you watched Eureka 7? I liked it. Have you watched it? Can you recommend some Mecha anime to me. By the way, I have watched few episodes of Kurogane no Linebarrel. Seems a good one, is it worth continuing? I am at 4th or 5th epsode.

Yeah, Eureka 7 was good. I liked it too but it took a while before I could appreciat Renton

I haven't watched kurogane no linebarrel. I just read its first volume and I was amazed by its good start. Imo, its first volume was at the same level of evangelion's first volume. I prefer an (initially) arrogant main character above an (initially) crybaby main character. I haven't watched the anime because I haven't heard very good reviews.

Which could I advocate to you:
- Bounen no Xamdou (more focused on storystelling, you have to be concentrated so you don't lose the focus), it has taken more than a year to watch it. Lazyness but I didn't regret it, imo this is an anime you can't watch in one time
- Sousei no Aquarion: a strange one - there's things you like and there's things you dislike. It's really cool because the animation was really great imo... I liked the setting, the characters and the mecha. The story itself wasn't of a high level but oh well, I still enjoyed it
- Tengen Toppan Gurren Lagan (prolly written wrong): my most favorite one. It starts from underground and it ends with a fight in the whole space with all the galaxies. It has great comedy and it's the serie that just gets better, better and better. My blood boiled because I was so actively involved with the fights

and definitely go for a more classic one: evangelion -> really awesome

How was NYC? Forgive me if you told everyone else about it, but I've sort of been in and out for lack of a better term. I completely forgot about your visit in November and might have actually been able to go up there due to circumstances I wasn't made aware of in time....damnit

Yeah I have watched it. It was really good. Can't find the exact words at the moment but this series felt a bit artistic to me. The characters, the music, the ending....all was meaningful.

Haven't seen it or heard of it. I will put it in my list of animes that I will eventually watch.

I have watched Gundam 00, I liked it a lot. I have to say I liked the first season more that the second. Why? The first part had more character development and there wasn't that invincible hidden power. I won't spoil the story but you'll know where I want to hint at later on. Lemme say that the firt part was more realistic, politically philosophical, etc

Well, we are quite happy about their return. clijsters won her first grand slam after her come back (us open) and she had an off day against petrova. I choose Henin over Clijsters because Henin is one of the few, if not the only one, who can dominate a woman's game on technique instead of using the typical power play

and definitely check her backhand, it's the most beautiful one of the whole (men and women) tenniscircuit. I hope she'll win australian open but roland garros (gravel) is the underground she plays the best on

oh and there's a new one coming: wickmayer ^^
