About Californication, I have yet to see the first episodes of season four but I will in time.

Spartacus is way too manly for me. I am so awesomely manly in the real world that I need my fix of feminine shows to balance it out.

Aaaaand I haven't seen season five of Dexter yet but I've heard it's quite something.

Season 5 was in my opinion the 4th best season. There was a lot of greatly written character development, but the first episodes were meh, and overall the season didn't leave me with the same "damn, that season was awesome!!" like season 1, 2 and 4 did. The last episodes really did the season justice though so it was still a good one. Look forward to it.

What would be a good show to watch? I am only watching shameless at the moment. And Blai-san, if you ever get to participate in the Amazing Race (if you don't know google it). Which manga/anime character would you pick as your partner? If you ever get eliminate in a country, which country would it be (can be in the anime/manga universe)? And what would be the greatest strength and weakness of the relationship between you and your partner?

However, started with Community and it's one of the best shows airing so far. It's incredible, loving every second of it.

@weix, I'd recommend The Walking Dead, Boardwalk Empire, Community, Modern Family, 2 ½ men, How I Met Your Mother, Glee, Bored to Death and How To Make It In America. Enough recommendations?

I would probably pick Shou Akumetsu from the manga series Akumetsu because since he has like, tons of clones, all whom are specialized in one subject I think he'd be a superb asset and he'll probably know exactly what to do at all times
The country I think we might get eliminated in would be somewhere in the Northern part of Africa. Maybe Tunis, Egypt, Morocco, Algeris, Libya.
The greatest strength of the relationship with Shou would be... oh this is a hard one... that we're both (originally) pretty easygoing but reckless and we seem to have the same view on society (note - originally. Not later in the series )
The greatest weakness would probably be that he'd run off trying to assassinate corrupt leaders in the countries we'd visit ;|

Yo Blai are you seriously planing on volunteering? I think that if you are serious about it you should do it.

I plan to do that at some point in my life maybe after finishing college.

Yeah, I'm seriously considering it. I'm going to take next year off and found this brochure about a volunteering program for young people in the southern part of Africa and with my education and personal records (CV) I am eligible to apply for tutoring/teaching and daycare, as well as (some) animal care-taking. And since the program is sponsored by some big cooperations it's for free.

It's a program between two to twelve months and I was thinking of applying for six months after summer. I've always wanted to be a volunteer worker and when I was little I wanted to work with Doctors without borders and later with Teachers without borders.

If I bail, or don't get accepted, I'll probably work abroad next year and then volunteer after i've got my diploma.


If you seriously want to volunteer, then you should do it right after college, before you get a "stable/normal" life with working hours, apartment, duties etc. (You know, the box-life). Because by then you wouldn't risk the chance of volunteering and then you'd spend your whole life regretting it.

Yeah, I get to choose but haven't decided yet, and that was only a two week program with my high school so no real volunteer "job" :3

I might compromise and go after I've gotten my degree and if I do and I'm still dating her, she can tag along, but we'll see.

@Impy - Tanzania? I have a friend who did an environmental project there for some months and she said it was great. I kinda wanna go to Namibia though, heard a lot of great things about that country... Nature wise...

I dont know much about Namibia but Tanzania has awesome wildlife parks like the Serengeti and the mountain ranges that include Kilimanjaro. Its like shizzle.

@Milly, the only one I'd get are for Malaria and Cholera. And if I don't go volunteer this autumn I'll be working. Taking a year off school. I'm having like three classes and I cant be arsed to attend. I kinda hate school now.
